Kalvin Phillips wage split

If he helps us get into the play off's the owners will have their money back.
Not if we go out in the semis. That's just gate and TV money from two extra games. Making the final might allow us to break even.

Once we are confident he is fit and if he stays fit, with him, Riedewald, Peck and Arblaster cameos, we can be confident that whomever we play against will have. A lesser midfield than us.

Once you add Brooks and Seriki to that, Bamford to that and Hamer to that, you start to realise why you can believe. But then you also realise that given the fitness of Bamford, Phillips, Arblaster and Seriki that it is a belief that relies on some degree of luck around fitness.

If we can line up with those available for the next 16 games then we’ll be top six, no doubt in my mind.

There isn’t a better attacking player on form than Gus. There probably isn’t a better defensive-minded foil to release the shackles from him than Phillips.

What sort of wages do people expect our players to be on? £28k seems about right, i'd imagine that some players will be on more, like Hamer, younger players breaking through will obviously be on less.

Its not beyond the realms of possibility that he comes in, gets match fit, rips up the championship and makes the provisional England squad.

Id be thinking, this is a last chance saloon job if I was him.

I think IF (big big if) we get 6th this year, the Play Offs will be looked at completely differently. We won't be expected to win them, it'll be a free hit and an extension of our season.

Who knows maybe it would benefit us.
On the contrary. If we do make the play offs we'll have won something like 15 out of the last 17 games of the season so will be the red hot favourites....

On the OP - i call bullshit. "Business Associate"?!?! Is that a posh way of saying mate, bloke down the pub, my imaginary friend? There's some strange folk on t'internet isn't there....

Sadly, the unwritten rule of managing Ingerland, is that you aren't allowed to pick Championship players, however well they are doing.

Not true need 11 wins and 1 draw to get to 74 points - enough!

Seems a bit rash when the best we can hope for is a one-in-four chance of promotion. And the odds are against us finishing 6th. But if true it demonstrates beyond doubt that our owners are willing to invest. Could be wiser to wait until the summer though.
Why?

A business associate who is close to Kalvin has told me we are contributing £28k per week to his Man City wages.
Hopefully I’m proved wrong but I’m sure he’s going to prove to be great value for money.
Thoughts?
My thoughts are why the fuck does anyone pay any attention to this shite.

My astrologist says that Kalvin Phillips is a Pisces and Sydie Peck is a Capricorn and that for games played in April both players should be in the team as Saturn is in the ascendancy.

How about Uranus

If I got 28k a week for the next 16 weeks I would be able to retire

The kid obviously wants to get his career back on track, otherwise he wouldn't be back in the Championship. Is he a gamble, of course, but he could be the difference in us finishing 12th or 6th, because if he gets back to anything like he was before, he'll be the best player in the Championship by a country mile. City didn't sign him because they thought he was a good lad in the dressing room, they signed him because he was one of the first names on the England team sheet. For me, it's a great bit of business by the board, as he gives us half a chance at reaching the playoffs (and therefore a chance of getting promoted to the Premier League this season).
