How is their home not bad and our home the worst thing in the world ever?
Because I'm a Blade, and our home, along with the anniversary shirt and the diamond kit, is the worst home shirt I think we've had in 40years.

Both of the Adidas Sunderland kits look good this season... from the front, at least. Interestingly, I can't seem to find any views of the backs.

Well look at that..... Stripes on the sleeves and no big fook off white box around the sponsor name but just a thin coloured surround like we've had ourselves for the last few years.

Looking at around 20 seconds into the video the edge of the back can be seen and it looks to be red....

Now THAT'S a nice home shirt!!!!!!! And I'd say it's what we should have had ourselves.

So those aspects of the kit that are being bemoaned, regarding our design, have been outdone by a league one club?

Nice.

And I'm sure Mackems were saying similar last season "why are we in butchers aprons when them lot up from league one come up and get a reyt kit."

Swings and roundabouts innit.

Seems to suggest it's not Adidas' fault anyway since the Brentford kit which is the same as ours is apparently fine (Bristol Post 8/10) and Sunderland have stripes on the sleeves. So someone at United picked it and then put door deals and ramsdens on it, so there's your bad guy.

On the subject of Ramsdens, my Inter Milan tickets came today, and still said Teletext holidays on them, so that just shows you how late in the day that was.

Why would anyone ever pay that much for plain Adidas socks with nothing remotely Sheffielld United about them?

At least these socks are the right colours.

These shirts are getting more expensive each year i think. Whoever ok’d our home shirt should be sacked, we wont sell many which means lost money.

£33 for shorts and £12 for socks is just exploiting the fans. You can get the same ones from 3qsports for £16 and £8 respectively, minus the badge.

Same issue with the Training wear. There's a £20 mark up on most items and the only difference is a printed badge.

What adults buy the full kit though?

In my adult life I have only bought one pair of United shorts, the promotion season ones halfway through last season for under a tenner I think, and I wear them around the house when it's warm and as emergency "someone is knocking at the door and I'm not dressed" clothes.

I can see no reason whatsoever to own football socks. Maybe an Austrian wedding and you want something United related to go with your lederhosen.

Mine and my sons shirt arrived this morning in sunny spain, the material this year is beautiful. Seems like proper material that will let you breathe and not get sweaty and cling to you. Look forward to giving it a run out for the match in portugal!

Derr, full kit wankers!
Thought everyone knew that!:p

Might be bollocks, but been told today, the new away shirt is Orange and Black??

Solar green was on here t'other day. That might also be bollocks though. Pretty good chance it's going to be hi-vis though by the sounds of it.

Who knows? The keepers shirt is the only ok thing about the home kit though!!
I guess the away keepers shirt is green though, if indeed, the away isn't??

Why couldn't they just continue the stripes on the back. Look how good the kit looks from the front.

I absolutely agree but I don't think the back completely negates the good work on the front and generally the look of the kit (from most angles, as long as you've got some stripes on it it looks good, straight at the back it looks poor).

That's where I stop understanding the level of hatred on here.

How come it was so easy to have matching stripes on the arms in the 80’s too? Even if the back had partial stripes and a panel for the number it would be a huge improvement. I’m a fan of the front. I really don’t like sponsor logos stuck on a panel like this one. Preference would be to weave it in or a more subtle stick on logo.
Could have been a 9 and is probably a 5 at best.
Definitely not worse than the diamonds kit though.
