9 in 21 for Blackburn isn't bad albeit that's League One. If he's got pace that would be useful!?

Yep wasn’t having a go at all just looks like a good prospect to me but as with all young players a bit of a gamble but that’s where we are. I’d rather sign him than loan DCL for a year put it that way.

Harry Kane’s Championship record is 35 games, 9 goals... over 2 seasons.

My guess is that Bolton's direct style wouldn't suit him as much as Tony Mowbrays more passing style. He likes to run onto through balls and our style.

Armstrong would be affordable I would guess and if not then I'm sure we could get him on loan., One local paper in Newcastle has said he's on 15,000 which might be attainable although whether we want to match that who knows, that would probably make him top earner with us or thereabouts you would think.
 
For all the people saying he hasn't cut it at championship level I agree to an extent but I'd also argue that he hasn't been in a team in the Championship that create as many chances as we do.

Barnsley and Bolton just hoofed it to him and hoped that he'd use his pace to get on the end of it up front all on his own and get a cheeky goal against the run of play. In teams that are higher up their respective league and create more chances through attacking football he has consistently done really well (albeit in League One).

I reckon he'd have the potential to be a cracking signing for us.

We should go for that Kane fella then! Seems to have a better record!

I mentioned Armstrong earlier today also on the two strikers thread. Tend to agree that perm would be better.

Him and Gallagher would be a good age.
 
Yeah I don’t mind us taking risks on these players. This is the market we are in. CW and AK will get the best out of them. It’s just if it all clicks for them.

I was editing the post but my phone rang and it timed out.

His League 1 record is:
2015/16 - 38 (2), 20 goals - Coventry
2017/18 - 17 (4), 9 goals - Blackburn

What i will say though is that he is still VERY young. He's not 22 until February and is clearly a talent. If anybody can get the best out of him it's Wilder. He's not played a game for Newcastle since August 2016 and since then, they are a top half Premiership club. I expect he's getting to the point to move on permanently now and settle down at a club.

IMO Armstrong would be a great signing. I was pointing out that people shouldn't get too hung up on his previous records as he's still young and learning as a player.
 
I think he'd be a decent signing for us. base this purely on the fact I signed him on FIFA and he's now the PL top scorer and worth £45m.

Joking aside, he's young, quick and should certainly be in our price range. Reckon CW would make a right player out of him. For me it has to be a permanent signing though, I don't want us to loan him in.

Easy to understand, he was their stand out player and scored a hatfull that one season.

However, they all were happy to get rid of Fleck and thought he was crap....sooooooo.

Don’t know if you’re serious with the second bit. He nearly cried when we got him... and still gets a little tearful when I blatantly rub his nose in the fact he’s fricking awesome. Whistling douche.

Serious, look at Roy's historical view froms. They thought Fleck was overrated and lazy.
 
Kid's a natural goalscorer. Not sure he particularly fits in with Wilder's ethos, but if you can get him giving 100% he's only going to improve with age.
 
Would still be a decent signing since despite his recent record. I think he could fit in well for us.
 
Wouldn’t be a bad striker to pick up. Young and rapid. I can’t imagine he’d cost the earth and would be definite upside and potential.

Not done much at this level but who has at 20. We’re more suited to his style than Bolton for sure.
