Regardless of weather this is a rumour, bullshit or both...
Any firm bid of £7 million + and the board will sell him, we are a selling club no matter how suicidal the move would be to the first team..
They’ll also cry poverty at some point down the line, and the only thing more predictable is that some of our fans will defend them by “having a pop” at explaining the technicalities of the finances needed to run SUFC...
1, agent looks for a move, or gets contacted.
2, bid placed / interest registered.
3, player informed.
4, sufc meeting with player regarding approach.
5, we can’t (won’t) improve contract, player wants to triple his wages / play at the top level.
6, we refuse the move as player is under contract, so forces the player to hand in a request.
7, player hands in transfer request ( forfeits his cut of the transfer fee

)
8, we accept the bid, and tell the fans that he’s handed a request in.
9, fans although upset accept this, “he doesn’t wanna be here” etc.
10, player moves and fans argue about the amount of money they’ll never see invested in players.. (is 3 mill still our record signing?)
11, board have the budget all sorted without spending a penny of thier own..
That’s how it works at the lane by the look of things, any bid from premier league and we lose the player.. it’s a fact isn’t it...
