Someone needs to have a word or at least buy him some red ones...

Get Kozzy in to sort that out... i'm sure I heard a story that he once glued someones boots to the bench in the changing rooms?

He'll have a bit of time on Tuesday/Saturday :)

Got sent off today for the Dingles two yellows in the space of as many minutes.

Blackwell states publically that he understands what being a Blade is all about then lets him turn out in them boots.

Think not Kev.

Terrible boots, absolutely ridiculous. I seem to remember someone used to turn out for the Inter Blades wearing blue boots too.... ;)

Tongey wore white ones before he left... I thought that was a bit garish! those blue ones are mad, he's asking to get booted!

I have never understood the fixation of blades and blue... jesus! i'll bet thousands of people had some kind of blue item on their person today at the match.

I think wearing garish-looking boots makes a statement about a player... they must be nippy and able to take on people if they fail at this then they shoud remove them immediatley!!

But Reid is nippy and able to take people on! You're just re-inforcing the argument to keep them.

About time the FA stepped in and insisted on regulation black boots only. None of your fancy stripes neither. Behaving like pop-stars. Who do they think they are? ;)

I sat near the kit mans other half today and can confirm that 2 mins after his substitution she texted him to tell him to have a word. :)
Something along the lines of "if he is going to wear blue boots be better be amazing if he is hoping to get on here"

Keith Edwards said on the comms... "If he's going to wear them boots then he better be a very, very good player!"

Didn't that Beckham wannabe we got from Manure on loan wear blue boots? Where's he now?

When Kyel Reid came on today the three blokes who sit behind me all started laughing. They they then started saying that Reid was shit because if he was any good West Ham wouldn't have let him go. They then proceeded to give him a nickname - 'The Little Nig*er'.

Can't believe people are still like this.

In the car on the way up to the Norton (£1.25 for pints of cask ales at the moment, and they had Black Sheep and Batemans XXXB on  - so long as they don't run out ), we had "Not Been or Grumble" on, and I had to giggle at them saying that Kozzy had made two "uncharacteristically reckless challenges".

I was always a Kozzy fan, but I'm sure I can think of one or two challenges which could have been described as "reckless".

Bless 'im.

Unfortunately Bramall Lane seems to attract a minority of bigots
But, back to those boots, I always reckon that anyone wearing boots like them is either an excellent player or has to wear them to get noticed! Hope its the former!!!

I believe the very issue was raised in a Q&A with Blackwell last week... he didn't really have a response he could give.

So I am sure it's been mentioned.

They ought to ban all those poncy plastic boots anyway. Yeah, they might be light, but get a Morgs-like defender snapping at your feet and you might as well be wearing slippers. You don't tend to be able to run very fast when every bone in your foot has been snapped in half.

I think no player should be allowed to take to the field wearing Blue boots whilst representing Sheffield United.

I'm sure I heard some racist abuse when Ellington hit that free kick early on too.

If you took their seat numbers down, send an email to the club.

I did when I heard some stuff at Burnley away this season and the email was forwarded round the club. By saying nothing to the people who can do something about it, nothing will be done.

Steve Hicks was the person who responded to me: [email protected]
