How about these two wankers?

Sheffield Wednesday will reportedly look to sell Fernando Forestieri and Barry Bannan this summer.

The Mirror have reported that the club are looking to offload the stars in a bid to balance the books.

John Cross reports that 'Wednesday put players on big contracts to try to win promotion but they finished in 15th and will now have to trim the squad.'

They could be good cover if our first choice 7 midfielders get injured :D

If Bournemouth sign Brooks it would be nice if they'd give us Lys Mousset on loan for the season. Good young French striker. Been in their first team a bit.

So now we've signed our keeper, and surprisingly, it seems that Sam Gallagher might be attainable. So I'll edit my earlier squad post.... pure speculation obviously, but I like the look of this....

Dean Henderson - Loan
John Egan - £2m
Jack Robinson - Free
Kasey Palmer - Loan
Mohamed Eisa - 750k
Sam Gallagher - £3.5m + add ons

1. Simon Moore - - - - - - - - - - - -.13. Jake Wright

3. Jack Robinson - - - - - - - - - - .15. Paul Coutts

I think that would represent an outstanding transfer window and a significant strengthening of our starting 11, with at least 4 new signings going into the starting 11.

Also, looking through that potential squad, the combined value of our assets would be around £50m, which is quite staggering.

Might not be too far off 159 actually.

But our management will have considered many more than have been mentioned on this thread!

Cannot see us wanting to sign a left back. Some bloke on twitter did loads of stats about Stevens and showed he did well.

But I have to admit our defence looks very solid with someone like Egan in there.

Gallagher looks a good option too but £3.5m could be a bit steep for us.

I would want someone more proven than Eisa such as a Waghorn / Hogan type player. Then if money was free an Eisa under them.

Ben Marshall looks like going to Norwich. For £1.5m apparently. That's great value. Would rather him go there than Millwall though, he was a huge catalyst for them, and you could say he was the reason they finished above us.

I had assumed that Stevens shows up well statistically. But I'm sure we could improve on him, and if our budget's decent there's no reason we shouldn't - especially if we can get someone like Robinson on a free transfer, while only making 5 other signings.

Signing Robinson wouldn't just be a straightforward case of signing a LWB replacement because it would also be a case of signing another CB, where he played most of last season, including in the middle of a back 3 if I'm not mistaken. He'd be a very useful and economical signing as it would be like getting 2 players in 1.
I should also mention that he has a long throw! Which we haven't had under Wilder.

I'd probably prefer Adam Armstrong to Eisa but put Eisa in there as he'd be cheaper, and I wouldn't expect us to spend big on 2 strikers.

I wouldn't want us to sign more than 2 strikers if we get an attacking midfielder like Palmer. We should allow room for the 2 behind 1 striker setup, which looks very promising if we keep Brooks.

See your point re: Robinson but he’s meant to be after mega money. Would be a good signing as for your points above. But I think we will spend all our money on 2 Strikers and a CB.

Palmer I see as a non starter, again a decent option as can fill Duffy role and striker role but I just don’t see that one happening.

Your team though shows with a few additions in key areas with good players can make us very strong!

There aren't many others like Robinson so if he was unattainable maybe we'd have to sign a 2nd CB and a LWB. Not ideal. Jake Bidwell, his team mate, may be a shout though, because he could play LCB.

I think Palmer has a great chance of happening but not re-signing Blackman could harm our chances somewhat.

Looks an exciting line up, wouldn't a fit Freeman start in front of Baldock? I ain't finding fault, my knowledge of other players isn't as good as some on here so I enjoy reading about them, the wingback Robinson for insta

CW has made no noise he wants to sign another LWB. I believe he would have transfer listed Lafferty if that was the case.

So can only see us after a centre half who can play in the middle of a 3.

CW has said to the star today he has bids in for players so fingers crossed.

I see Murray Wallace has gone to Millwall & I think that currently leaves them with 4 good centre backs. Has Webster signed a new contract yet? & if not, do we reckon Wilder will still be interested in bringing him here?

Webster only played 10 games for them last year. Was he injured or not deemed good enough?
Either way we have Jake wright to old man it at centre back when required. Do not consider him either good enough or needed whilst ever we have JW.
Wilder wants players who will improve the team not bolster the squad, unless they are young players who can develop

How much of an impact Brooks

Think he’s one where we might have looked this time last year but hopefully is a level below what we want to add now to push up the table.

Webster wouldn’t be in our first team.

I think CW only looking for first team players this time round. Not someone to make up numbers but someone to show Stearman he has some real competition.

Same with Clarke and Sharp, Lavery and Hanson were hardly beating down CW door saying I should be playing.

Apparently we're in for someone who's currently at the World Cup, on a loan deal (source - Twirlo, Bladesmad).

The only Chelsea reserve there appears to be Kenneth Omeruo for Nigeria, who I've previously mentioned. Could be him.

Back to work tomorrow the boys aren't They? New kit unveiled and a possible new signing too?

Kevin Long at Burnley anyone?

He played a lot of games for Burnley towards the end of the season.

We were interested 2 years ago. I suppose his recent inclusion at Burnley shows what a brilliant signing he would've been at that time, in L1. (Edit - posted a second before me EddieColquhoun !)

If he's available at all it wouldn't be a surprise if we went back in for him, as an alternative to Egan.
