Would you keep Ched Evans or let him go?
Personally I would let him go,I don’t think he is good enough now and he won’t get back to the Ched of old in the future.
I think it’s a gamble that hasn’t paid off.
The poll will be interesting.

I was surprised when CW signed him tbh,I know he’s had injuries but he looks a shadow of his former self to me.

It was always going to be that way. All that time out of the game and an injury-plagued season at Chesterfield should've put the issue to bed really.

Let go for me, I didn't want him back at the club, he will always be guilty of being an idiot and his actions and the associated publicity did no good for the club or himself. He's the classic example of a talented footballer without the brains to appreciate the gift he has, and lets face it most of us on here would have loved the same talent, who's ego has cost him dearly. I don't wish him any ill, he has clearly gone through hell, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Unfortunately it dont look like it is gonna happen ....

We will know for sure by Christmas

Whatever, SUFC have done their best for him, and has had more than enough time to get going again

Who would take him? Chesterfield again?

Stuck with him I am afraid, no doubt he will pick up another injury before September and be in the treatment room until just before Xmas, be back for the FA Cup third round when we put out the second eleven.

If he's on Min wage c£8.50 pH then keep, see if next couple of pre seasons play out.
Had 1 really great season, but was what 6-7 years ago?
Let's just realease his minimum wage and keep a couple of young YTS boys on the books

No risk not costing much
Not likely to succeed but high reward
Wilder has seen him in training and rates him.

I’m backing the manager.
Logic suggests he stays but if he’s not fit after a solid pre season then I suspect he’ll be gone.

Time will tell but us fans have a history of writing off players as past it.

When will we ever learn?

Don't ask me to explain, but I have a feeling that Evans is fated to have seen his best days as a footballer. Just when his life as a pro-footballer seemed bound for better and better things, calamity struck.

In one respect he still has the good fortune to be in a relationship when other women would have turned their back on him. I hope he's considered other career options as Evans doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the box, but let's hope that whatever happens he'll be able to put the past behind him and focus on the relationship that he so nearly destroyed. He's been with us for a season, and yes, he's been injured, so maybe pushing the envelope just a little further may be the optimistic option. But if there's still no sign of his old self then it will be in everyone's best interest to part company and seek pasture's new.

I think (more hope) that he will come good. He feels he owes The Blades.....and he is right. If he is fit after pre season, give him some game time and if he doesn’t start to show then let him go. I just think he will and sooooo want him to.

Singing him was a mistake. I'd give him a season on loan but highly doubt he will prove to be first team material, and even if he was, every time he kicks the ball his ankle shatters...

He might not want to stay. He ain't getting any younger and might not want another season of reserve team football

‘..just one more pre-season..’
