Wilder was extremly pissed off that the January transfer budget was cut from what was originally agreed. Seems this is where the trouble started with him wondering where the club was heading.

McCarthys exit from Ipswich was strange timing.

I had fish and chips in Aldeburgh the day of our game at Ipswich whilst McCarthy was still in charge.

The bloke in the queue in front of me sounded like he could have been a Director of Northampton Town.

He said nothing about Wilder getting the Sunderland job, in fact all he said was “cod n chips please”.

From this I conclude Wilder is not getting the Sunderland job but McCarthy might be.

Yes, decent if you're an Ipswich fan who doesn't mind facing an 18th season in The Championship. I know McCarthy isn't responsible for all that stagnation, but he hardly threatened to get them out of it.
