I asked you questions and gave you an answer to your suggestion. Wondered if you'd like to follow it up.
Because it was clear to anyone with a modicum of self-awareness that it wasn’t actually a real suggestion.
The rest of your post was a random collection of sentences, like James Joyce had moved to Whitby and became obsessed with sharks.

Ok. That's fine then. I understand. Why didn't you say? I thought you were being sarcastic and not entering into serious discussion.

Tell me what you think to the 'Pledge' first:)

Sorry I've summarised this thread already. You are entitled to play cartoons Blades. Have fun.

As someone who spent a few years away on the golf course until CW arrived, I obtained a season ticket last year in League 1 and this year in the Championship. I have just renewed not knowing who will be in charge. I pledge my loyalty to Sheffield United Football Club whoever is in charge, be that club in the premiership or the Dog & Duck League. If the club lie to me, cheat me, fail to put effort in such that I know they are failing to match my support, then I will vote with my feet as I did, and others have done, over the years and bide my time until someone I can trust and respect comes back in.

I like and respect Wilder as a man and a manager (notwithstanding that again this evening he has refused to accept me paying his bar bill. That's twice CW, you only get one more offer) and I trust him. I prefer the devil I know, rather than the devil I don't know with regard to ownership. I haven't seen any hint from Da Fresh Prince of Fuck All that he personally has the ackers, inclination or the interest to take us further than McCabe could. I would prefer CW rather than anyone I have observed recently to manage us notwithstanding his errors.

I don't see the need to make some dramatic flounce depending who is in charge without giving it a go. I hope it is McCabe with a new "partner" with cash. If not, then I will live with DFPOFA. If he proves to be a wanker, I will walk. If Wilder doesn't like it and walks I will still be there to see the alternative. If I don't like it I will walk. My priority and support is the team, then the club. It is not the personality of a manager. If it was I would be like "CloseasaBlade" on Bladesmad who was a Clough Family junkie.

Clubs and ownership of them change, as do managers. Fact of life. We'd all want CW to be there for perpetuity (unless he changes Stearman again like against Millwall) but these things happen. Lets just see how it pans out and hope CW pulls through with investment. (Ramble on :tumbleweed:

Don't let me put you off Blades. It's CARTOON TIME in any thread where serious debate has finished.

School's over. Enjoy boys.

What an excellent response. I'll put something together if I get any encouragement whatsoever. To date such encouragement has been minimal.

I’m just catching up on this thread, which has predictably been seized upon as a vehicle for ridicule, but behind it the OP and message still stands.

I’m still with you on this one,

My suggestion would be a strongly worded letter to both chairman, first of all explaining a list of grievances and suggestions about how to resolve the grievances, and a plea for cool heads in time of tension. Then it could be posted in a new thread with the option for people to counter sign it on the thread by posting their user name in the replies, personally I wouldn’t have the time to do it myself but seeing how you’ve ridden the storm on this one, I have little doubt that you are the man to pull it off, even if it will encourage the same old dullards trotting out their pathetic little cartoons and shark puns.

Dear ... ........... ( ownersx2)

As fans we would like to thank you for your combined efforts since 2012. The extra investment which helped build our club for success and the appointment of Chris Wilder provided it over the last 2 years with wonderful entertainment and special times for all at the club. Prince ...?.., no doubt you will have been delighted how we fans have responded with support rarely seen at this level at any other club.

The purpose of this letter is to express the anxiety we fans have about the current legal negotiations.

Such negotiations are nothing whatsoever to do with us and we know Mr McCabe always has the long term interests of SUFC in mind and that he respects the prince in that context.

We fans are seeking reassurance at this time. Can you both confirm that steps are in place to provide an appropriate budget for our manager in time for him to improve the squad now and at a pace to help you achieve the medium term objective to reach the Premier League, indeed to be competitive with a promotion push next season. We believe provision of such a meaningful budget is in the interests of the club and particularly both owners, regardless of who takes control in due course. The club needs to build on momentum and not stall it.

Please regard this letter as being in the best interests of our club. We fans do not want to lose the best manager we have had for years and years.

Good luck with the negotiations.

Yours. "

Not sure about this. I believe you refer to eithebr McCabe or the Prince, but are you saying that a big budget is more important than whoever runs the club?

And in general, the letter asked for reassurance that sufficient funding is place for a push for promotion. What is the next step should a reply say "No, we got some cash, but not that much"? Is the answer "Sack the Board"?

Dear Mr McCabe and the Prince who's name is too long to remember,
You clearly know nothing about business and aren't aware of the first thing about running a football club, you are clearly in the dark about what a prolonged boardroom struggle could mean and don't realise that not giving Wilder a meaningful budget this summer could have a detrimental effect on the coming season, despite Wilder's comments, so here is a list of a couple of dozen signatures from fans which we believe will suddenly make you find solutions and resolutions to all the problems that have so far been intractable and when reading this it will suddenly dawn on you that that money sitting in your bank account could be given to your manager - I mean, why not?
We, the fans below, are convinced this letter is all you need to move from difficult business dealings to "piece of cake, job done" before, say, the middle of May.
Yours,
the anti-cabal

PS No need to thank us.

Can you include something about player sales as well, as i think that is pertinent.

Yes, the quaint English spelling rather than the colonial shite we get shoved down our throats.

Aah, ISC’s posts make sense now.[/QUOTE

Wow, what are you smoking?

That's the first time anyone has ever said that and i think I've got a bit of dust in my eye.....
