thats because your surnames not LUNDSTRAM
All of Duffys best performances have been cameosIt's not so much rotating players, it's messing around with the only player who has any creativity in him, Duffy. If United are behind with 20 minutes to go, that's it, we lose as we are no good at chasing a game late on so saving Duffy for this stage of the game is pointless. He has to start and get us off to a good start, that's the only way we are going to win any games between now and the end of the season. Since Coutts and Brooks got injured/ill let's say it as it is and be honest, we've been fucking shite. There's no driving force or creativity in midfield bar Duffy.
If we can't afford to join the big boys at the top table money-wise I can accept that all day long but ffs we can at least make the best of what we've got.
Why is it that if you are of the opinion that someone is not you favourite player, or if someone else in the squad is a better player and should start ahead of him, then according to some you "hate" that player or have an "agenda". That is such a fucking childish argument.
All of Duffys best performances have been cameos
we dont have all the performance stats knill and wilder have but all season he rarely plays 90 mnutes
he has undoubted skill , but cant claim to have a right engine in his armour
Hes one of my favourites , but football today is all about running , moving into space closing down , putting in a 90 minute marathon Its why hs used like he is, Saw a stat where he covers less ground than most , some prem managers wouldnt even look at him with how they use med stats
funny how you think lundstrams blowing out his arse after 70 minutes but dont notice duffy runs out of steamI wasn't suggesting he plays 90 minutes and I don't think anyone who watches us regularly would suggest this either as he's usually blowing out of his arse after 60-70 minutes. What I said was Duffy should start the game and not be used as a late sub when we are chasing the game.
P.S. You forgot to mention the most important stat - the number of assists to his credit.
funny how you think lundstrams blowing out his arse after 70 minutes but dont notice duffy runs out of steam
and did you miss the sheffield derby at hillsboro the eleven on the pitch had run wednesdays defence ragged and that let duffy take advantage
Until it mathmaically impossible to get in the play offs , its our duty to back the team to the hilt to get in it
not pour scorn on the team , thats not helping anyone
we have a chance , no matter how remote some think it is , to get up there in the promised land of milk and honey cockney rhyming slang for prem tv money
since the championship started clubs have fought their way into the prem against the odds
last season huddersfield lost 14 games drew a lot got up
Leicester, scraped up on 68 points lost 16 games won promotion
west ham finished 6th on73 points lost 15 went up
why cant we dream of making it
Where you getting those stats from? Could you give me Clarke's stats Please?
But debating the best team, best players and questioning poor performances on a football forum aren’t allowed now?
I’ve not seen much of an overreaction on here to be honest, the odd few always will but if you listen to them you’re daft.
Most of the questions posed are valid, I’m not sure why the requirement to stick your fingers in your ears and pretend it’s all going to be ok is required? After the recent results (last 10 games) an improvement is required.
It’s now down to Wilder to instigate this improvement and show resilience in the process.
It wasn't the result that bothered me it was the performance
It wasn't just that they had an off day they looked mentally shot
They looked like a bunch of players who don't believe they are good enough to get in the play offs
They looked like a kid peering over the edge of the top diving board at sheaf valley baths, legs shaking before turning round and climbing back down the ladder to the safer middle board theyve always dived off
i'll grasp the nettle. bring it on. let's face it. our home support is crap for the number of fans we get in.. if you were the oppo's manager you'd say.. 'keep it tight for the first 60 mins and the fans will get on their backs and they will start making mistakes and playing cautiously'.. people need to get behind the team. some people can't 'wait' for the wheels to come off. that's it naar. i read this every fucking weekI've not seen anyone suggesting any hate against the players or Wilder, just criticism of poor performances.
For me this period is the first time Wilder has had it tough (his first 4 games aside he has been exemplary). What would be good is if he shows us that he can get these players to play in the way we know they can. We can make many excuses (lack of funds, lack of Coutts, windy, rainy, cold etc) but all I would like to see is the Blades team from the start of the season.
Like I said before my comments weren't negative but based on observations of the results and performances of the last few months, which from your own table above shows a mid table team. If we want to become a play off contender again we need to raise it.
You know how it is with the blades, we’ll go to Bristol needing to win by 3 clear goals, it’ll be 0-3 and 4 minutes into injury time, only for them to get a penalty.
The penalty taker hits the post, it hits a diving blackman on the back of the head, and trickles over the line.
The GODS are back I tell thee.
i found the notion that we'd be 12th this morning very fanciful indeed.. ymmvWe've won four league games in three months. I find this notion that a great run is around the corner very fanciful indeed.

edit: it's a Sheffield thing. people are so negative and expecting it to fail.. it's not surprising given our history but we have to grow some bollocks and start fighting back (tin helmet on)
i always pray for an early incident that wakes up the dragon (the kop).. like some c*nt winding up the fans. that's when we really get going.. if you were the opposition manager though your team talk would include 'under no circumstances wind up the kop ffs'I agree with you but cant like it as unfortunately its true
Theres a wait and see attitude among fans, buggar that lets gee em up
the lane under bassett buzzed at times with noise , wheres it gone
the teams got us back up here and we are competing not struggling yet the beliefs at record lows
it doesnt have to be blind faith , just backing the red and white wizards
lets see them teeth in a big smile, try and enjoy going to a game
Lundstram should be in the side instead of Evans, he did nothing to deserve getting dropped to begin with.Lundstram is the new scapegoat, we always have one.
lundstrum is the new gannon. hated at first .. irreplaceable at the end.Lundstram should be in the side instead of Evans, he did nothing to deserve getting dropped to begin with.
Makes you think where we'd be if we'd have turned up at Hull away, Bolton home, got what we deserved from Villa home and Bristol.
In Lundys first 10 games his passes were to JOC & Bash - probably added up to -ve yardageindependent stats arent too far apart

dont get me wrong Id pick Duffy, but our perception of a player differs to how a fellow pro sees it

It's been a fantastic season, way beyond expectations, but every one was just so shocked that on Friday we looked tired, unable to put two passes together, played lots of long balls and cross field long balls that just kept giving the ball back to Hull. Where was the fast flowing pass and move football we have been watching all season even against the top sides in the division
