So another Friday night match, and another TV appearance. Tonight the relatively short trip to Hull. Good result on Tuesday for us, but perhaps not so comfortable towards the end. Still it's another 3 points towards our ultimate aim. Meanwhile Hull have been poor all season, and it's obviously reflected in their League position. They'll be scrapping for it tonight though, and combine that with the off field shenanigans, this match is no 'gimme'.....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Fleck certain to return?

Otherwise unchanged?

Brooks and Wilson in late fitness tests...

Jam surely to keep his place?

Well this presents a really good chance to, at least temporarily, return to a play off position. Results recently have been fairly kind, but that's been teams I thought were out of our reach.... See how quick that can change but we can only take care of our own results. Should be a decent Blades following there tonight, so I hope the result is to our taste. Think they'll score but I'm for a 3-1 Blades win with Fleck :o scoring.

Safe journey folks....

tempted to plop Brooks in for Clarke as a number 10 behind Billy who I think deserves to keep his place. goals have dried up for Leon but it's a matter of time til he smashes on in and the floodgates open so I'd keep him in. Brooks to come on for Billy or Duffy after 60/70 min should we need him, if not Lendog in for Duffy.

let's fuck em up

It has to be the same line up as the QPR game for me with just Fleck coming in for Lunny.

Clarke put in a much better performance so should keep his place with Brookes ready to step in off the bench.

Hull are only just outside the bottom three and haven't won a game at home

Two hours left at work then to the pub and then to Hull

Im hugely worried about this i said roy view because you know that way football gods are. adkins will finally be decent games involving sheff utd but typically just against us & play us off the park win 3 or 4-0

but we are still in that phase of 8 games until the international break that started v leeds, where after taking 3 pts there we should now be looking at winning 7 of them taking 21 out of 24, bar the Fulham game where we will probally lose as they are at home & in great form, no championship team has taken more points in 2018. as they are all in bottom half (next 3 21st 18th 24th) & in poor form

Any news on Holmes ? Would love to see him involved tonight

I keep hearing about these football gods, I thought they were imaginary but folk on here keep going on about them, load of bollocks if you ask me, good performance and solid victory tonight the only football god who will influence the match tonight is Chris Wilder

It's not the football gods we need to worry about, it's the cricket gods.

They've never forgiven us for building the South Stand in 73 and kicking them out of the original home of Yorkshire cricket (pre-dating Headingley by about 30 years).

Never underestimate their ability to kick us in the bollocks, just when we think that everything is just tickety boo.

Clarke has to start simply so the hull players can shit themselves from the time the team sheets are delivered.

I think we'll see an unchanged lineup. Dropping the MoM from the last game would send out the wrong message to those pushing for a place

Hope they have undersoil heating or it could be a wasted journey, get wrapped up Blades.

No it doesn't everyone at the club is aware of how important Fleck is and Evens is turning in performance after performance. Still wish we had Coutts though (maybe in the playoffs if we make it?).

Chris, no messing with the unknown = JUST PLAY YOUR OUR BEST TEAM’ be positive, go for it, and we will win!

Just hope we don't field a weakened side because we think we just have to turn up to win

Same team for me too.

Sooooooo! Let me see. On Sky again. Opponents managed by former Manager that we dislike and disrespect. Opponents not won at home. Match likely to be disrupted. Fans over confident and we need the win to get back in the mix.

Unbelievers dissing DFG (May they be forever feared) and CW prone to changing things just when we think its a settled side. What could possibly go wrong?:oops:

2 changes.

It was predictable that Fleck would return for Lundstram
But Ryan Leonard instead of Duffy?

Interesting, I suppose Wilder is crossing the energy and battling/ tackling qualities of Leonard
With Duffy and/or Brooks coming on to door when the opposition are tired.

Can’t see Brooks coming on tonight, to be honest.

Why does he keep dropping our best player this season?

There will be a good reason.
No one would not play a best player.
Remember the managing team are armed with all kinds of data regards work done on the pitch, energy levels and fitness.

It does seem that Duffy is more of a home player than an away player.
At home we have the opposition pinned back to their penalty area and Duffy is the type to unlock the door against a packed defence.
In away matches it’s very unlikely to see Hull park the bus, so the more energetic dynamic tackling Leonard is probably the better choice.

Remember dependent how the game is going we can always bring on Duffy as sub.

Maybe (and id start him personally) Wilder thinks Duffy will do more damage coming off the bench as their defence begins to fade? Start with an athlete like Leonard and bring Duffy on after an hour?

FFS no Duffy again, lets hope we're not to far behind when he comes on, to much muscle and not enough guile in midfield.
