God's country ...... Rovrum!
I know this should really be in the rumour section but as the KM/Prince situation gathers pace and we are all pissing in the wind regards likely scenarios, I thought it best to stick it on here.

Sun reporting today that CW could be in line for a huge transfer boost next season

The Blades boss has met backers of an investment deal that would inject millions into the club. Kevin McCabe is heading the plan which could be finalised imminently

Well, it's in the Scum, which means it must be true.

I hear that statement on a regular basis. Sometimes it's reyt and sometimes it isn't. Nixon doesn't get 100% of his rumours correct, but he doesn't do too badly. In view of what's currently going on at our club, perhaps there's some credence to it?

So Princey isn’t taking over!?

Sounds like they’ve just read the statement on the OS and cobbled together a headline......

Blimey. Is this a plot-thickener, or what ?!? If there’s substance to the story, might it suggest a Kev-driven alternative to the Bog Roll buy-out ?

As widely noted, we’re reduced to guesswork at the moment, partly because none of us know what was written in the paperwork back in 2013. But I still feel that the language used in last week’s statement—about activating clauses in contracts—coupled with reports of McCabe gurning at the Octagon when HRH Bog Roll was mentioned, smacks of a hostile takeover (or a co-owner fuckover).

Is this going to turn into a full-on power struggle, despite Kev’s long-stated desire to get out ? One thing most millionaire businessmen really don’t like is being screwed over by other millionaire businessmen. Not good for ego or cock-size, etc.

Foxy ?

When board rooms go to war the manager tends to get fed up and look to move elsewhere.

This needs sorting quickly and relatively un messily

The sun also quotes that the Wally with the Brolly, or in this case lolly (Steve mcclaren) is heading up a consortium with serious cash to buy a championship club

Kev wants prince to invest.

Prince is dragging his feet hoping for prem on the cheap.

Kevs found a new investor but prince doesn't want his investment diluted

Kev forces princes hand by trigger clause in contract to put up or shut up

Kev releases info to Nixon to put more pressure on prince.

It's like blooming games of thrones.

Alan Nixon doesn’t get much wrong when it comes to us, seems to have good sources both here and at Wednesday.

except i think you have it the wrong way around

I think this report cannot have any credence in it as it would make CW's January signings redundant, he wouldn't have bothered.

kev is bound to be heading it because he's still technically in charge.. you can read this a number of ways.. which was the intention

Why tho? If there's an opportunity to make the play-offs this season, why wouldn't Chrs try to take it, regardless of what may or may not materialise next season

Either that or this is Kevin’s alternative in response.

Considering how McCabe has struggled to find a buyer over the years, brought Princey in with a view to increasing his investment and taking control of the club, I’m not sure there is an ‘alternative’ waiting in the wings...happy to be proved wrong mind!

Over to you Kev. :)
