The best thing about today

He was brilliant today.

Commanded his area really well. Caught everything and then that brilliant save.

exactly--COMMANDED THE AREA. not rooted to the goal line. Uses his height advantage well and at times its like having an added defender in their. Schmeichel was the master of that and it breeds confidence in the whole back line knowing their is guy willing to come and dominate

So glad to see him back in there

Would love us to go get him on permanent if at all possible, but not sure what cost it would be ?

Apart from smashing Leeds, before the game a fella walked through the family stand on the row infront of our seats and ruffled my 9 years olds blades hat and smiled at him. I said hello to the guy and he carried on walking. My lad asked who he was so I replied “that my son, is Tony Currie and that hat will never be washed again”.

I think that completes my requirements for a successful season (as predicted early doors); take at least 4 points each off Wednesday and Leeds and not get relegated...49 pts though, are we safe yet?

Lovely sentiment but Sharp just smashed in one of the best goals I've ever seen at the lane, claiming his 200th league goal, right infront of a stand full of gobsmacked Leeds fans!
I'd call it a distant second place.

was an outstanding save but I hope it isn't dejavu from the start of the season because he pulled off some brilliant saves still remember the impossible one from opening day of the season v Brentford when he somehow saved it from behind him. but the further onto the season he made more mistakes

We beat dirty Leeds! Fucking horrible, cheating, dirty Gordon Strachan sitting on our advertising boards flexing his muscles, dirty fucking club responsible for inventing diving, intimidating, cheating fucking horrible bastard Leeds Scum.

Plus fat lad from Sheffield is back, and we're well in with a shout for the last playoff spot.

Plus pigs get closer and closer to a relegation battle.

What's not to like about today?

That was the over reaction from one poster, after the defeat at Wolves, I kid you not.
.

Nice one liner but not true representation of the thread that was created, by me, urging the side to look to finish the season strongly to keep momentum going for next season.

Not posted in reaction to the Wolves match as I think it made clear.

You don't really like Leeds, do you?

It was an excellent save, and I thought overall he had a decent game. However, I also thought their equaliser he might save more often than not – not a lot of pace on it, and he seemed to fractionally hesitate to go for hit. With his reach I don’t think I’m being overly harsh.

It wor a top save but best moment of the game was Billy’s first..( whisper it) world class.

So happy for the bloke.

Personally speaking, I think we will be holding our own in the Premier league next season, such is my faith in our Manager.

Where do you get your drugs from Fred?

Well the performance today was pretty shit. Very Adkinsesque apart from Billy's quite spectacular goal. Two very ordinary boring teams on display and a very over fussy referee. Can't see Sky clamoring to have us on again when looking at the next rounds unless performances improve.

Again we fail to kill teams off. Becoming a trademark of Wilder's side since the autumn. Added to the squad with more 'ordinary players'. A total lack of creativity, just like watching very average United teams in the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's.

Only blessing is we'll finish higher than the Pigs.

Does that image still haunt you as well ?

Words fail me.

Very Brownesque, both in terms of the similarity of the goal and the look on the faces of the 3,000 retards behind the net.
