Leonard (25 year old) - 3 1/2 year deal
Evans (23 year old) - 3 1/2 year deal
Wilson (22 year old) - Loan

We'll probably flog the family silver now, but these three are all young, pacey and exciting players.

Can't say that we've not added to what we have already.

What else do we need?

To ship a few more out, loan or perm, and a LWB/ CB/ a 6-0 derby double Friday night.

A counter argument, possibly about selling Murphy, or Willie Carlin or maybe.........

Which is what the Board said they would do: they will provide funds for investment in the JTW as best they could.

No mention of amounts, there never is.

On paper, they certainly look like they'll enhance the squad and they will undoubtedly provide more competition.

Exciting times.

We need someone who can take a few players on and bang it in the top corner. My guess is a duffyesq type player and a winger who can come on for a wing back when we are chasing a game

I second that. I like Brooks more as a No. 10 (second striker) than a No. 8 (attacking mid), so I'd like to see us bring in someone who can come on for Duff and perhaps even replace him long-term. That's a huge ask, though.

Already really happy with our business so far. I'd close the window now if I could because until Jan. 31 I'll be nervous about Fleck leaving.

Wilson, Evans both fit that don't they?

In all three we have players able to turn defence into attack very quickly.

See i did wonder about Evans and where he would play but didn’t have him down as a fit for Duffy. I must admit to knowing very little about him

It's two and a half million pounds sterling
Intentionally left out the financial figures, but the figures touted were 700k and 750k in fees, which would be 1.45 Million, not including wages etc though

£2.5m divided by 3. If we buy a 4th player, then it's £2.5m divided by 4. Simple maths. :)

More like simple arithmetic but are they all on the same wages and what were the fees?

I only ask because of the usage of the word "exact" as opposed to the correct "I'm guessing"

:)

It's great to get these in so early...clearly Wilder is on a relatively small Championship budget and obviously we had cash from the summer as we missed out on three players.

I'm expecting one more in also...

Somebody to give Duff a breather. Someone with some physicality up front. But I'm being picky. I also know very little really about who we've signed.

Great signings by Wilder in terms of the right age, their reputation at previous clubs and their desire to prove themselves at a high level - in terms of Evans and Leonard. Wilder backed by the board? Yes but not as much as he could have being and no more than I would expect given our current standing in the league and a genuine chance of automatic promotion. I would have loved us to get a fast forward from League One like Marriot but he will go to Leeds by the looks of it.

You're not dragging me out into the deep waters of 'specifics', I'm more than happy in the shallows of 'generalities', thank you very much.
