Academy graduate Kyle Walker has been named in the England U19 squad for the forthcoming European Championship Elite Round qualifiers later this month.

Walker has been near faultless in the Blades first-team since making his first league start against Swansea City in April and he has been rewarded with a call-up from U19 Head Coach Brian Eastick.

The Young Lions take on Bosnia Herzegovina, and Slovakia at Doncaster Rovers and Bradford City respectively, with Bramall Lane hosting the plum tie against Scotland on Monday 1st June.

Manchester United's Danny Welbeck and Aston Villa's Nathan Delfouneso are two well-established names at this level, along with Crystal Palace's Victor Moses.

Sheffield United will also play host when Scotland meet Slovakia on Wednesday 27th May.

The squad in full is...
Nathan Baker (Aston Villa)
Nathan Delfouneso (Aston Villa)
Danny Drinkwater (Manchester United)

Matthew James (Manchester United)
Martin Kelly (Liverpool)
Joe Mattock (Leicester City)
Victor Moses (Crystal Palace)
Dean Parrett (Tottenham Hotspur)
Nile Ranger (Newcastle United)
Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur)
Alex Smithies (Huddersfield Town)
Jordan Spence (West Ham United)
Jason Steele (Middlesbrough)
Kieran Trippier (Manchester City)
Andrew Tutte (Manchester City)
Kyle Walker (Sheffield United)
Danny Welbeck (Manchester United)

Well deserved, I met him about 12 months ago, really nice lad who just wanted to play for the blades.

You can't beat having lads in the side who were born blades and achieve a dream by pulling on the shirt every week

There looks some very good prospects in that group & young Walker deserves his call up!

Outstanding talent we got there coming thou the ranks when u see the the 2 kyles play premiership here we come!!!!

He reminds me of a young Paul McGrath, without the dodgy knees and dubious social life I hope!

Bags of potential, natural successor to Morgan and will hit the heights!

Congrats to the young lad and I personally think he deserves it.

However part of me says he has been included as one of the games is at the Lane again.

Hasn't he been chosen for the under 19's before anyway?
