One of my favourite quotes came from Joe Mercer (when he was SUFC manager) when he shut up one of the SUFC directors who was questioning his tactics and team selections

Joe Mercer: What do you know about football, then?

SUFC Director: I have watched football for many years so I consider myself to be an expert

Joe Mercer: My wife has been sat next to me watching me driving my car for so many years, and she still cant bloody drive!

So no one can criticise anyone? We all sit in lala land and dig our head in the ground because we all know fuck all? Sick of everyone up Wilder's arse, he's not some almighty perfect angel. He made a bad choice and an obvious mistake today, any and every manager can do it. No need to justify it or blame it on the fans who pay hard earned money and time to watch and support the team. Onto Derby. UTB

I'm yet to hear a CW post match interview and not be encouraged and re-assured SB.
That says it all for me.

Criticism is fine, but has to be reasoned. I doubt any club will play an unchanged team Boxing Day, today and Monday. Given concerns over the fitness levels of Donaldson and Baldock, which options would have been better? Give reasons. I would be concerned about Injury to Baldock, and I am not sure Donaldson is effective against a packed defence - he's better on the break.

Yeah, but if he makes a mistake, she'll have a good idea when it happens

Both of those players came on in the 30th and 60th minute so I don't see the point in "rotation".

No. Let's just all enjoy the journey. Remember that.
Six years in league one. Remember that.
Sixth in the Championship. Just remember that.

I'm delighted as the next blade and definitely didn't expect this position but what I saw tonight has really put me off. It didn't feel like the fighting spirit we have always had since Wilder has been in charge. It seems to have rubbed off to the fans as well, very poor support from us saying there was 27000 blades there.

I think players who are not completely match-fit are more likely to pick up strains, pulls, etc. if they play a full 90 minutes several times in succession. Admittedly Baldock was probably pushing it playing 60 mins.

Let's just hope Jaunary plugs the hole of our depth problem then if this is the case. I'd probably be looking around the 4-5 player mark and possibly 2-3 out.

We will lose matches that we think we should win and win matches that we think difficult, coming into 2018 I am delighted where we are.

Brilliant Bladebri....Are you a horse? or Santa.....a newspaper maybe?

I don't know but this is great. What I joined this forum for!

If you can’t criticise anything about Wilder especially after today then what’s the point in a forum? absolute bollocks and hypocrisy of the highest order.

No need for it.

Times have moved on since Joe Mercer was a manager and his missus being a shite driver (RIP), both would struggle to do both things the same way today and say the same things.

You don't need to be a 5* Michelin Chef to say that a meal was awful

Was about to say you don't need a degree it meteorology to know it's pissing down!

To be fair Tufty comes out and admits his errors. Sadly at this level, they get punished!

Football shouldn't be over thought, it's not complicated. It's managers that make it complicated.

Hindsight kings will always complain without dealing with the actual dilemma Wilder has.
Freeman is out injured, Baldock hampered by injuries all season, one days rest between today and our next match.
