You should have heard me tonight! Sentences????? No chance. Mostly used random words I couldn't string together directed at the ref and linesman incorporating embarrassing arm waving and pointing. Don't think I'm really "South Stand material" yet.
 

I would love Lundstram just to push on another 10 yards to me he plays too deep another 10 yards further forward may help us to push on pressure the opposition a tiny bit more.

Duffy is my contender for player of the season already, Fleck is indespensible, Brooks is the most exciting prospect I've ever seen, Baldock will be vital for us this season, O'Connell has proven me very wrong and Leon certainly has (I've even posted a thread about that if you want precious "evidence").

Can I go yet?

It’s about time you showed some appreciation as I’ve not noticed you do so before now.

Answer my other questions first and then you can go.
 
Remember Lundstrum is still very young, only 3 years older than Brooks.

I was impressed how Lundstrum showed for the ball today, kept wanting the ball and trying to drive the game.
He made some good tackles too and he’s already improved compared to early games.

Think Wilder sees him as someone with potential to be a linchpin in midfield, a dynamic allrounder.
He just needs to improve his decision making and composure, which will come in time.

This^^^^^give the lad time sometimes he makes the wrong decision rewind 2 years for Coutts never seemed to be at the way races.
 
Lundstram certainly isn't a bad player. In fact he has many qualities that are obvious.

He did well today overall. But he simply didn't and won't have the influence that Coutts has.

A big reason for that is the understanding with Fleck. Unfortunately that's something that takes time to build up.

One thing I will say is that he needs to cut out the speculative passes. Absolutely key to his role is keeping the ball.
 
Wasn’t there but watched on tv and thought Lundstram was good today. Not afraid to have a shot too which is nice to see.

Sharp gets loads of praise for his contributions, as I’ve said before you’re seeing what you want to see because for some very strange reason you’ve convinced yourself that you’re the only person who appreciates what he does.

As I see it Lundstram looks like a CDM. An out and out CDM. I don’t doubt he is a quality player, Wilder wouldn’t have brought him in if not.
However, I feel his attributes don’t favour the system we play.
In my humble opinion if we played 4-1-4-1 he’d thrive as the man in between the lines. The current system shouldn’t be compromised due to one injury and to facilitate, as I see it, one mans skill set. He did a decent job today and will only improve, he is our best option at present. UTB

Thought he did well tonight,one vital interception,/clearance at 0-1 when the ball was going straight to there number 3 who was steaming in on goal

Pretty much agree with all that. Though I don't think it's the Coutts-Fleck understanding that's the problem, more the latter point. His decision making is poor at time, but that's something that takes time.

It's the speed of thought and passing. Coutts is a master. Lundstram isn't as quick. None of the options are. Makes me laugh when people slate Lundstram and suggest Bash in the Coutts role

Equally despite his great goal return he does have more games that he has little impact compared to Clarke this season. That's football.

Far too many backwards passes from Lundstram today. Duffy did far too many as well.
He also butchered a couple of forward moves, particularly because he did not use his left foot. He set them on the counter attack when he lost possession a couple of times.
On the positive side he kept going never hid, can shoot and looked like he can tackle.
Think he's worth sticking with and if he can move a bit further forward and drive us forward by running with the ball he could be ace...

My mum's been dead 16 years so I'd guess you were close to being under age. Even though my Dad died 28 years ago today bizarrely enough, and she never had another relationship, I'm confident she wouldn't be interested in a bitter twisted oddball.

I watched the game , and thought he had an OK game ,
But must admit was willing him and wanting him to do better ,
Because I know what a shower of cunts some of our fans can be
Come scapegoat time and once they have there sites set on a particular player
It can get very vicious at times
Although before the start of last season , not many on here where singing the praises of
Coots and Freeman , myself included .
