IFollow: Hows it going?

ImoDtheGod they'll fob you off and tell you that the full match video is uploaded in Full a day or so after the match.

How very strange. Was doing that and all I ever got was links to the highlights and extended highlights. I'll have to try again later, but I was definitely viewing the 'match report' page, from the official fixture list (not just the recent games, but even a month ago).

Okay, I'm seeing the "watch now" link now. For some reason it's the last thing on the page to load, so I've already started scrolling down and jabbing at the random links by the time it arrives. My mistake (also shit UI/UX).

Thank you, Swizzler.

I paid for the match on Saturday, but when I came to log in at 2.50 I got a password error. I was told to change my password, which I did, but when I tried to log in with the new password, I got a password error and was instructed to change my password once again. Did this three times, but I was stuck in a loop. So basically I paid for the game but was unable to watch it legally. I ended up watching a dodgy feed, which was fine. So for the Reading game I'm not even going to bother paying. Not only is it a waste of a fiver, its incredibly frustrating being constantly required to sign in and being told your password is incorrect again and again.

Saturday was the first time I've really fully enjoyed the ifollow experience as I watched on the laptop so was able to get the video on one tab and commentary on another (as others have recommended earlier) and just about in sync. ;) Previously I've been abroad/shopping and the ipad/iphone ifollow experience is pretty shite tbh. Don't understand why they can't embed the match commentary within the video stream...can't be rocket science surely?

As they're having problems syncing sound with vision anyway, I see little point in them adding the commentary until they fix that.

For the first time I couldn't get video to work. Although using a VPN as soon as I clicked on watch live nothing happened. Tried logging in and out but still got same. Tried a different browser still no joy. Eventually I tried on my iPad using same VPN, I then got the error that live video is not available in your area. Also tried different countries on my VPN but had to make do with just commentary and a stream from another source. Funnily I last watched it when I was actually abroad. I'll see how it goes next week.

Same problems of 2nd half stuttering. still no commentary. All they have to do is plug the microphone into the camera....they cant even manage that. Despite numerous complaints it would appear that the efl dont give a shit about us, we have got your money so fuck off attitude !! So glad i never bought a subscription.

Its up to the club, not the EFL. Some clubs have it, we dont.

I know there has been lots of threads regarding this but I keep encountering the same problem. Even when trying to watch the news videos never mind the live games it just says play back problems please try again later. This happens on my chrome laptop although not on my iPhone. Please could anybody throw any light on this

Yes, I can throw some light on this - it's a pile of shit from top to bottom, all style over substance.

I also have difficulties with the video playbacks but also with items shown in the 'Latest News' section suddenly disappearing and not being available, the latest one for me being CW 's post Ipswich interview.

I'm no expert on the details of the agreement between the clubs and which ever set of tossers are supposedly running this fiasco, but I do know enough about Contract Law to understand that they must be in breach of it, since the product they purport to offer is clearly not ' fit for purpose'.

That being the case, it is beholden upon those clubs , on behalf of their supporters who have paid good money for this so called service , to let them know that If they continue to fail to provide the service they promised both them and us, they can. FUCK. OFF with a capital fuck and get somebody in who knows what they're doing.

Anybody remember Blades Player ? I never thought I' d get misty eyed about that but that's where I'm at right now.

Besides the sound losing sync with the video, it works perfectly well for me. It's been an absolute godsend for people like me who had little to no exposure to the games, save the shout box and twitter updates on here.

It's so common today. You get offered what looks like a brilliant service, but both the backend and the customer service are outsourced to somewhere in Asia on the cheap. They are happy to take your money but when things don't work, no one takes responsibility. I've paid for three matches so far (tried to pay for a 4th but was unable to log in) and my experience has been awful. The three games I managed to view were so stuttery they were unwatchable, and of course customer support is nonexistant. No chance of getting a refund.

Whoever set this up, it serves them right if people watch dodgy streams instead. They should have made sure it works and invested properly before going live. Thing is, it's not difficult to broadcast a decent stream of the game. Many amateurs do it via their phones from the terraces, and its better than what ifollow is offering.

Well i will ask kevin Gage to plug in his mic to the camera, he follows me on twitter so i will have a word ! The 2nd half stutter problem however is across many teams and i thought that would have been addressed by now. Poor effort by the efl when people are paying for it !

I tried to log in from my hotel in turkey on Saturday, but it said I was not authorised due to rights restrictions.

Watched an illegal ifollow stream instead and it worked fine

Quick update from Saturday. I watched the game on a freshly-downloaded Chrome browser and the jerkiness was much better. So I'll be using Chrome in future as opposed to Firefox. This was the first game that I didn't even consider attempting to pay for. I'm happy to part with a fiver, but the dodgy feed seems better than the paid feed, and the ifollow userface is still a nightmare to navigate. I still don't know if there are supposed to be separate logins for sufc.co.uk and ifollow.

If they really want people to pay, they've got to make it simple for them.

Tried to watch it on my Ipad last Saturday using VPN and it worked until halfway through second half when it said I needed to upgrade my subscription. Shambles.

I think I'm one of the few people who have had no problems whatsoever, so far. Watched the last few games and it didn't buffer or freeze once, and was pretty much HD throughout. The camera man has the occasional moment but overall it's been brilliant after years of listening to every game on the radio...listening to the entire 15/16 season on the radio has to be one of the most tortuous experiences humanly possible.

Am I right in thinking that tonight's match will not be streamed on Ifollow, as it's being shown on Sky?

Are you on face book? ;)

I have had problems, the change your password thing and half way through a match I was logged off as apparently someone else had logged on with my password but mostly I haven't missed much of any game, so better than nothing for ex pats, not bothered about not having a commentary. I have noticed that games being shown on Sky are available to me but that might be because they have not shown on my continent, Asia?

strange if there is any international tv coverage it shouldn't be available

I watch the games from Spain. After one game I bought a season pass. I never listen to the commentary for a TV game, as I consider it to be mostly repetitive . I therefore mute the commentary. The reception is good but I agree that the information you would normally receive, would improve matters. What annoys me is that at HT it switches off and in order to obtain the second half I have to go through the whole set up procedure again. Against Ipswich I missed the Basham goal! Anyone got a solution to this problem or is it just my iPad causing it?

Here's my update on this.

Will be out of the country for the QPR match so can legitimately log in to ifollow and pay for the match.

I'm interested to know what data usage it will take for a whole game out of my Vodafone 8GB per month mobile usage.

Any clues anyone? Anyone tried this already?

I'd hazard a guess at probably about 1Gb - back in the bad old days of downloading films, a decent quality copy was about that size.

If the hotel has Wifi i'd just use that - that's what I did for the Wednesday game when I was off on hollibobs.

If it's a UK phone on a UK contract then it won't work! iFollow still sees it as being in the UK for some reason - happened to me. You'll have to find a local WiFi.

Mine will cut off and the app needs restarting when using my phone (android), so I've started watching on the laptop instead.

Won't need it for tonight though. Beinsports all the way

A quick question:

Is there a website that tells you which iFollow games won't be showing?
