Moving to the Upper Tier to improve home support/atmosphere

Would you move to the Upper Tier for an upcoming home game?

On the continent you often get both sides of the ground trying to be louder than the other. PSG and Marseille have that sort of set up, with particular supporters groups on one stand or the other.
The cumulative effect of course is that you get a very vocal degree of support for the team.

They do the same in the Allianz Arena, one end of the ground sings to the opposite end, and which is reciprocated back. It gets really loud.

My only real concern is that this ends up like the last endeavour. When, after lobbying the club for a section of the Kop to be set aside for this purpose, the A Block knobheads basically pissed away a golden opportunity.

I am of course supportive of the principle 100%.

An advantage this time is that we don't initially need the club to do anything. We can do it independently and will have continuous opportunities rather than just the odd trial. There's always loads of space in the BLUT and all we need to do is buy/move our tickets there a few times.
 
Went in the BLUT today. More fans up there than I anticipated, not sure what it looked like from the Kop?

As for those back 5 central rows, it seems like the club give tickets there to academy players and the like. Which I think is questionable because they are prime seats. They could choose any other area in that stand for that. They're all good seats.

But there was still plenty of space, and a lot of seats available.

A few chants broke out from the corner and it was generally far from the neutral type of atmosphere that it's previously been up there. If we get a decent group up there starting chants a lot of the other fans on that stand will join in.

I'm thinking the best bet might be to target the block just right of centre, towards the South Stand.

No reason at all we can't make this work.
 
Sat on row V seat 104, quite central. Loads of seats around me.
Like Ricky said, best bet is to focus on one block such as the one closest to the south stand.

Also, reyt view compared to my normal seat just behind the away dug-out.
 
Singing at both ends of the ground was from my knowledge only done at Forest - pre sitting down development.

There was the Trent End and the Bridgeford End and they used to taunt each other during a game to sing a song. Away fans used to stand in the same corner as where away fans now sit.

Fairly pleased with that.

Having been up there today I'm absolutely certain that just 100 or so of us in the same area starting the chants would really make a huge difference to that end of the ground, and possibly the entire ground.
 
This is the view from the centre of the block I'm talking about.

It's basically as good as being bang in the middle.

A further reason to choose this area is future season ticket possibilities. If the club make more available in the BLUT they'll start from this side (Westfield Corner) and move across. This means STs are more likely to be available in this block than the central one.

I went on the blut today, changing my ST on the kop, bringing the Mrs and a child for the day out...

Brilliant view and atmosphere wasn't too bad. I sang a bit. If a few people got it going more i think it would be brilliant.

Just to agree with everyone else and restate it, the view is really good. Best in the ground. Really steep compared to the kop.
 
It was quite busy today, lots of families as well. Good atmosphere.

Ipswich weren’t too vocal either but couldn’t see how many they brought from above ? Guessing 1,000?
 
I thought the atmosphere was flat full stop yesterday all things considered.

The Kop certainly didn't sound very loud from where I was. It's all too often disjointed and half arsed. It needs livening up. And it won't just automatically happen - if it's not happening naturally now it never will.
 
Just for anyone reading thinking it was quiet up there, there were no plans for the BLUT yesterday. That won't be for a few weeks yet.

Re the atmosphere, it's been a lot better in previous weeks. Was quiet yesterday. In fact I thought the entire ground was fairly subdued, and tractor boys were understandably pretty silent.

An injection of 100 or so noisy twats would be great in the BLUT

Agree. We're 3rd in the Championship yet It took a goal to bring the first loud chant.

Are there usually a lot of kids up there? There seemed to be quite a few yesterday, but that said it didn't feel like a 'Family Stand' sort of atmosphere to me. They seemed keen to join in with any chants etc.

104 to 125. I'm pretty sure it's Gangway E.

Interesting looking at the online sales for this game, with less than a week to go pretty much every seat in that area is still available. About 5 have been sold. Just shows that this is easy to do if people commit to it.

The Bristol City game on 9 December looks like the best option for the first attempt.

I hope everybody who's voted is serious about this.
 
Me and my two lads are in Westfield Upper but we'll move across for the City game. Good idea. Hope it's supported.

I assumed there wasn't.
