I think we could be very dangerous with Brooks & Coles pace n skill on the park.

Fuck me. We lose one game and all of a sudden we need to buy half a team (or at least a 7th striker in January)!!

Coutts/Fleck aside we have 2 players/replacements for each position - so any 'additions' will have to walk straight into the starting XI otherwise it'll be a waste of money - and that calibre of player is bloody hard to find at the prices we can afford.

As others have mentioned holding on to Wilder once the sack race starts and keeping everyone fit is my New Year's wish. If we do that, we'll be reyt!

Can't fully say yet. But as of now...

1. Keep Brooks - after getting him on a new contract.
2. Same with O'Connell.
3. Devante Cole - now is a good time to sign him and he has good potential which could be fulfilled under our management.
4. Recall Ben Whiteman.
5. Move Hanson on.

It'll be hard to improve our starting 11. The most obvious area is up front, but strikers are the most expensive and hard to find. After that, I can only see the goalkeeper and wing back positions as ones we could possibly strengthen. But we won't be signing another keeper.

A winger with real pace would be useful, although there may not be a starting place in the team for them. If we signed someone like that, we could loan Thomas out, and possibly Lavery.

We are probably (in many peoples eyes) in the top 6 early than thought possible - so well done to CW & AK etc.

So: If still in top 6 and we are still taking teams apart, then the answer is quality - 2 players to make us better immediately.

If we have dipped out and are looking average (perhaps 7th to 12th), then perhaps we need some better squad players to put pressure on others.

Problem with quality is it costs money - probably lots of money, specifically on wages. The wage problem will start rearing it's head now that we are in this division as players and agents try it on a bit.

A big question is does the club use Brooks money to fund it? - I really hope we don't.

Do we need to buy any or many players? Certainly not to improve our team. I would suggest that we need to provide cover for injuries,suspensions and competition for our existing players. I don't pretend to know who to acquire to fit in with St Christopher's knowledge of the available players with the right credentials, but I bet that he does.

There may be a few that come knocking at his door now that they can see what we are like in this division. Conor Coady might be one of them especially with his "performance" against us last week

Of course, but the wage bill has increased. If the crowds hold up then we could even get to break even point, depending onJanuary.

I'd leave whiteman out on loan, if donny haven't improved though i would send him somewhere else in league 1 he'll benefit from games in league 1
