With his, and his family's, wealth based in property you think he'd be more prudent than ever seeing as there is a world wide crisis in the property market.

Very easy to spend other peoples money, without any idea of his real costs so far whilst being involved in the Blades.

Whilst its a PLC its not all that easy for him to just dump money into the club, without creating some form of share issue or going into things like third party ownership.

To give a (sort of) similar example, my aunt and uncle did very well when they sold their house in Harrogate for one in a village outside Harrogate. Then they took early retirement having bought half of the Dordogne for a song after flogging that house.

Their land and property over there (where they now live) is worth a fortune, but if I wanted to borrow £1m, say, from them, and they were willing to, they'd have to sell up in order to do it.

Just because his estimated wealth is beyond our wildest dreams doesn't mean that it's either available immediately, or ours to squander.
