im guessing any premier league club with half a brain will be having a look at him, as they will about 500 other players, id be more shocked if they didnt

He had Wilshire last year. Fleck is a fit Wilshire.

That said, every player has his price and I'm quite sure Tufty, One Knill and Mitchell have long lists of players in all positions. Obviously we all have our favourites who 'must not' be allowed to leave. Once you've lived through Jones, Currie and Deane the pain is numbed; hence I couldn't raise a murmur about say Blackman or DCL.

We need to get back to the Premiership before we can sleep easy about our best players. Even then, though, if the elite come calling....

I would say Soton are a role model for losing talent after talent, riding it and still progressing.

We need to keep our hair on; club, management and fans alike.

I'm well stated as being a very big Fleck fan, some of you may have noticed. I'm also not surprised if this is true and he is attracting attention from premier league clubs.

I hope...I really hope that no bids will be forthcoming any time soon as clubs will usually scout someone for a long time before making a bid. What we don't know is if clubs have already been scouting him!!!

So we need to hope the bids are too low, and that Wilder will be the control of the situation, because I fear that if a bid near £5m came in we would cave in and sell. And that wouldn't be enough because we would struggle to replace him.

Absolutely we are at the mercy of clubs with huge wedges to speculate with.
Interesting you bring up the Saints. A club I have oft lauded as one that extracts max value on sale as well as maintaining an upward curve.

I genuinely think our board has a way to go before emulating that business model and would go as far as to say it is more guilty of cap doffing than most of our fanbase!

I agree ! I am not so bothered about spending millions to bring players in. To me the ambition at this stage, being just promoted etc., will be proven by how we hold on to players.
 
I'd be surprised if Malaga don't take an interest after he played it round them time and time again this evening.

Only got two years on his deal. New deals for Fleck and O'Connell are needed. Then put a big price on their heads.
