During our 6 "wilderness" years, KM pumped an average 7 million/annum into club to keep it afloat. Despite some poor decision making re managers, KM has kept things going. Running a football club, even with 25,000 crowds is a VERY expensive proposition. The figure of 7m comes directly from a former senior employee of the club.

I think it's also there in the accounts.

Surely it's more of a classy dog tooth check. (Robert Carlyle models his costume for the Full Monty II ) :D

Than this.

But having read McCabe and the Prince are talking to new investors .... and remembering the bluebirds of Cardiff playing in red
anything must be possible If ....

:rolleyes::D

Is that really what you see? I see the club finally being progressive and doing the right things. Having previously been one of McCabes biggest critics I find it only fair to recognise when they are getting it right. Good Academy, good first team, good manager and investment where needed. Do you not see this?

Yes I do
But I also realise that we need quality

Bearing in mind thay the only Championship quality we could get is the older Championship stalwart who is very much on his way down rather than on his way up, which is the one thing we don't want.
The only place that leaves to get the best of the quality without any continental links or knowledge is League One
And we are arguing the toss with Southend and Charlton about a couple of hundred grand

We've signed two League Two players and a player whose team was relegated to League Two

We have been told numerous times that when a team from a higher division comes knocking you resign yourself to losing the player and yet eight weeks after declaring an interest in two League One players we still haven't got them

My phone won't allow me to quote, playing devils advocate here; but in my own opinion McCabe is out of his depth in running of a football club. Which is why it has taken a manager like Warnock and more recently Wilder to achieve success.

So a bloke with the nous and business ability to go from being born in an S2 terrace to being worth £97m is 'out of his depth'?

I don't study other clubs"

Does that not alarm anybody?

This was just a defence. If he'd said 'we have the 19th biggest budget in the Championship' he would have been hung out to dry by some, so far better to just profess ignorance about other clubs IMO.

warnock signed these
thats 5 and a half million , so yes mccabe stumped up
vague memories of 1 or 2 dont tell the true story

Luton Shelton cost £2,000,000?!

Two million pounds?!

The Saudi link may be blessing or a curse, if Corbyn gets in at some point there may well be an embargo on any trade links at all with Saudi Arabia.

If Corbyn gets into a position of power at some point ....... we can just switch out the lights and go home ..... we're fu**ed royally :eek:

The lights would go out anyway as they wouldn't be nuclear powered.

He'd probably ban football too, in favour of jam making competitions.

Or basically he just needed to say how the fuck do I know to the interviewer when it's impossible to know regarding your second point.

Come on Kev, get a grip. :)

You carry on doffing your cap to wealthy Tories who couldn't give a toss about you and believing what you read in the Sun.

For the rest of us, as the legendary Sam Cooke sang, "a change is gonna come...".

The sooner the better.

I think he's admitted he got it wrong sacking Wilson when he did, but in my opinion he was let down badly by the two Nigels from whom we ought to have been able to expect better than we got (cup runs apart).

Ever wonder why? Two managers, one with a fantastic track record and the other with a decent one who's gone on to do a good job at Burton. Whatever they did at the Lane, they're not shit.

No I don't think they are shit either. They underperformed for us badly though and between them left us with a bloated yet inadequate squad and the relationship with the fans badly damaged.

Was Kev the genius involved in taking Celtics shitty pants down when we got a million for Tebilly, soon christened "bombscare" by those Green Brigade scamps?
