Gillespie set for Blades exit
By Peter O'Rourke Last updated: 29th September 2008
Keith Gillespie's agent has confirmed the player looks set to leave Sheffield United.
The Northern Ireland star's future has been the subject of conjecture, amid reports of a bust-up with Blades boss Kevin Blackwell.
Gillespie was axed from the squad for Saturday's win over Watford after reportedly clashing with Blackwell during the game at Norwich earlier this month.
Blackwell is now ready to let the former Newcastle and Blackburn winger move on as he does not figure in his plans.
Gillespie's representative Phil Munnelly has confirmed the 33-year-old is set to leave after a 'difference of opinion' with Blackwell.
"I spoke to Keith at the weekend and it is fair to say there has been a difference of opinion with Kevin Blackwell," Munnelly told skysports.com.
"At the moment we are seeing if we can find Keith another club.
"I have to speak to Kevin Blackwell to see what Sheffield United want to do."

Keith Gillespie looks destined to leave Sheffield United and has been told that he can continue his career elsewhere.
Kevin Blackwell revealed over the weekend that the Northern Ireland International winger was unhappy about his situation at the Club and assistant boss Sam Ellis said today:
"Keith is not in the squad at the moment and I would think that will continue to be the case - he has been told that he is free to look for another club.
"He is an experienced pro who feels that he would be better off somewhere, else and that is the end of the matter - we don't want to air our dirty linen in public."
