Those of you wanting to go on the train - do you realise there's currently a coach service running between Sheffield & Derby on weekends? Not sure if it'll be the same this weekend, but it's due to work on Bradway Tunnel - until December! My train to Chesterfield now takes over half an hour (via Darnall and Woodhouse!!!!) instead of the usual 11mins (via Dronfield)

Can't remember what the bloody pub was called we went in before and the interweb is yielding nothing that looks familiar.

It's possibly The Station Inn on Midland Road but although it was a long bloody walk, I didn't think it was that far...

there is feck all around there.

Remember going when it was frozen over and got in 15 mins late and lost 2-0! the buggers!

Blackwell about the Derby Match from the BBC

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I'm delighted to say James Beattie has come through two weeks of hard training and now he's fit and raring to go and so the competition is on.

"When you look at the likes of Matt Spring, Nick Montgomery and Lee Hendrie, we've got players that can fill the Tonge roll in midfield.

"We have to go there and play our game, I can't get involved in the situation that Derby are in, we'll deal with ourselves. I am sure if we are right I'm confident we will get a result."

Whoever decided to sell Hulse made the most STUPID decision EVER MADE!! And we've paid for it!!

Thats one goal in 18 months jonny, as ive said in the shoutbox He wasnt going to get back to his best for us, A fresh start is what he needed. Would you say the same about any ex-player that scored against us was a mistake in selling him?

Hulse was poor when he came back because of Captain Yawn rushing him back in. If he had been left longer to recover he could have come back a better player but NO this was Robson in charge.

That was bloody awful the second half.

Didnt even look like scoring.

I dont think he was rushed, He had 9 months out came back and couldnt find his form again for the remaining 6-7 months he was with us not really strikers form is it. He had long enough to recover and to find the form again.

2nd half we were really poor, but thought when webber came on he gave us a bit of a threat (shame he was not given longer)

now I have to go to work monday with a derby fan and wednesday fans...

Wouldn't that logic mean he's still not a better player, given that he hasn't really had a break from playing since he was brought back?

Hulse scores 1 in how many months?! its the worst decision ever. Henderson scores more in less time and you aren't convinced he's any good at all?

This will probably be the only goal Hulse gets all season.

Mind you we cant ignore the fact his goal should of been disallowed for handball.

...........

Really stuck on what to put. Was horrible to watch at times, the second half was terrible. Monty wasn't brillaint no, but it was his first game for a while but he was no worse than anyone else.

Don't think any of our 11 could come out with their head held high. At 1-1 we seemed content to sit off and let them come at us and it backfired with Hulse scoring, which we all knew was going to happen. Disappointing yes, end of the season, not by a long shot.

Kris Commons was awesome for them too, as was the substitute with the long hair. Need to win Tuesday night.

poor performance, blacky knows this, hope he gives them a right good rollockin and maybe we needed this loss to remind us were not going to get promotion given to us, we have to work for it

Was Ugo injured??? if not blacky has not abided to his play well keep your shirt motto

Ugo was expecting to play midweek. Injured during the week I think.

Pity, because I think we missed him at the back.

Not particularly a good performance, but already getting wound up by some of our fans

Sorry Stinky but you're comment on the way home really annoyed me

"If we dont win at Norwich our season is over"

Struggling to think up a MOM this week, dont think anyone stood out

No I said that if we lose Tuesday and next Saturday it was as good as over.

Might be a bit early to say that, it might be cos i'm just annoyed that's all

We need to be winning teams like Derby and to stay in touch with the top teams.

Yet incredibly we are still 6th

Naysmith was the only Defender today who I thought didn't make a mistake.
Killa was poor as was Sun, Morgan didn't particually do anything wrong but he didn't play as well as he can.

Poor performance, but we'll bounce back.

It was a mistake to play Monty and Speed together; Monty wasn't particularly bad, but we were overly defensive and there was no spark going forward and that, I think, was our downfall.

Definitely a bit of a clanger dropped on Blackwell's part too in getting rid of a player who started every preceding league match. I'm not so worried that we haven't got a replacement - if Hendrie plays to his best he has more to offer than Tonge anyway - but it clearly upset the dynamic and balance of the team.

Must do better next time - I'd like to see Hendrie in for Monty, Ugo in for Morgan and Beattie in for Sharp. We'll have to see.

What? :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Beattie in for the relish more like.

Henderson and Beattie together does not work.

Although I agree Hendrie in for Monty and Ugo in for Morgs.
