I'm starting to see some similarities with Hansen to darius Henderson, slow and gives lots of silly free kicks away.

And since he arrived we haven't lost
I felt for Hendo at times playing up top on his own picking balls out of the air with little support trying to fend off more than one defender at a time. Isn't it funny how he started banging them in after he left us?I'm starting to see some similarities with Hansen to darius Henderson, slow and gives lots of silly free kicks away.
Great story ,at least hes not coloured eh ?I'm starting to see some similarities with Hansen to darius Henderson, slow and gives lots of silly free kicks away.

Charlie Wyke looked a shadow of Hanson when we played Bradford ,was very unimpressed with his all round game. Hanson has a lot more to offer both as a strike partner and in defence. We're unbeaten since he joined. However, we also won 3-0 three games on the spin since he's been injured. does it prove anything either way? Not really, all it proves is that we're a bloody good squad.
I firmly believe we would have done equally as well without Hanson, what frustrated me at the time was the 'opportunity cost' of signing him. He has done a job but has no chance to improve and grow with the team. I was disappointing, not in signing him, but the fact we could have gone for a Charlie Wyke for a similar fee who is much younger and much much more prolific.
Done a job and we should thank him for that. Would be thoroughly disappointed if he was near the starting XI next year though. Having said all this, I would still keep him around as a plan C, for 80+ mins when it's fee kick and corner time.
He's done well since he came but can he do it at the next level?Charlie Wyke looked a shadow of Hanson when we played Bradford ,was very unimpressed with his all round game. Hanson has a lot more to offer both as a strike partner and in defence.
Yes ,hes the type of player who will suit a higher level. When at Bradford his best appearances and goals came against premier league opposition ,he will be a very important part of our squad next season. Look at the grunters ,they have 5 strikers on a quarter of a million pounds a week and they still bring on Nuhiu and he changes games for them. Diversity will be vital and Hanson is good enough to give us that. He's done well since he came but can he do it at the next level?

Not sure if you missed the home games against Oldham, Bury, Shrewsbury and Fleetwood games.
When teams came to BL and sat back defending in numbers we really struggled.
The Fleetwood match was an education. We had loads of attacks, loads of corners BUT never looked like scoring. The 0-2 defeat wasn't a fluke, we met a team with big commanding centre backs who packed their defense and we struggled. Fleetwood had found our weakness, no physicality and height up front.
Wilder was clever to bring in Hanson to cover our weakness. Also we were reliant on the aerial strength of EEL in defence. When EEL is out we lose his height but Hanson replaces him well when defending corners.
Wilder will keep Hanson because in certain situations he's a great choice tactically. The objective is to produce a winning team, makes no difference who scores or doesn't score.
There are millions of examples, but here's a thread with a few comparisons to'Big Jim' from a set of fans, who I can vouch for, they know their football.
As I've said, Hanson has done a job. Has he made us a better team? No, would be my opinion. Is there any evidence to suggest he will be able to step up a level? Again, not for me.
The only similarity I can see is how he often gets clattered by two centre backs yet somehow ends up being the one who has committed a foul.

For me personally we can't afford to go into next season with Sharp, Clarke, Hanson, Evans and Lavery
One question mark too many for me
n the case of Henderson he committed the first foul the moment the ball left the Hoofers foot and, once the ref had worked that out, was properly punished for the rest of the game.
