Has Wilder lost his plucking mind?

The board have fucked themselves mate, they made a change, got it wrong and gone back to wilder, who now has the keys to the castle

But yes, playing cannon is either a master stroke if we win, or a fuck you to 2 up top ego rinse
To be honest my 2 up top still doesn't include that waste of space 😂

We must have the worst striking options in the whole Championship, if this area isn’t massively overhauled in January, relegation beckons. My personal opinion, from what I’ve seen is,

Campbell is the only striker with real pace, unfortunately he’s unfit and bone idle. The two may well be connected?

Cannon doesn’t give a toss, he’s got a heart the size of a pea and really doesn’t want to be here.

One is miles away from being a Championship striker, comes on and looks like he can’t believe he’s playing for the first team and doesn’t back himself or put himself about or use his physicality to unsettle defenders.

Ings comes on with the best of intentions, any enthusiasm slowly drains from his soul and he walks off at the end, wondering how his agent ever persuaded him this was a good move.

But to be fair, anyone playing up front in this shambles must question their career choices, as they wait for yet another pedestrian build up to hopefully create a crossing opportunity or failing that, for Tom Davies to come on and actually play a forward pass to one of them?

Will you eat humble pie if he doesn't play a front two and plays Cannon as a left 10 as he has done before, which would prove your analysis of Wilder's thought process wrong?
I want us to win. I want to eat humble pie.

Regardless of which bit of grass Tom Cannon stands on, both he and Campbell are forwards. This is playing two up front. He's ignored the opportunity to do this in many home games - where attacking should be a prerequisite - and instead chosen to do it away to the free scoring league leaders.

Under different circumstances, I'd applaud the courage of making the decision to go for it.

However, the reality of the situation, the context above, and the fragile ego of our manager means it gives me a feeling there's more to it. Especially as the only way he was going to accommodate this was by dropping Soumare.

Cannon starting out of the blue... away at Coventry? Why?

Peck keeps his place on a disastrous run of form after a horrific mistake and actively making the team worse, while Soumare is dropped and Davies doesn't feature either.

Nothing to change the defence, leaving that clown McGuiness in the middle of it to get run ragged once again. (There's no one else? Ok, play a back 4 then 2 sitters instead)

Away to the free scoring runaway league leaders.

All the hallmarks of a mardy arse Wilder selection we've seen before. I fear he might have fucking lost it.

This season is going from bad to worse.
And this is why you earn 10k a year and Wilder is our manager.

I bet you are desperate for Coventry to win now aren't ya?

In other news Moore is poop poop shipt and will never get a hattrick ever, best get rid. Keep the quality.

And some of those comments, don't embarrass yourself wearing a poppy. Buy a white flag.
Don't need to, Chris already flown it.

I think he's trying to prove a point.

The clamour to play two up front has got under his fragile skin and he's decided to do it against these to 'prove' that it makes us vulnerable.

I'll be the first to eat humble pie if it comes off.
Wish there had been humble pie last instead of manky cheese pasty - use your imagination please Coventry.
