Giles "Sniffer" Coke

Apparently we're looking at him on SKY Sports. I know sod all about him. Anyone heard of him? Been playing for Motherwell in the SPL.

Former Mansfield, we were interested when he was with them.

Very quick midfielder who's good at taking the ball forwards and gets himself in the box.

I watched the Motherwell vs Hibs game and he looked decent, scored twice but made one bad back pass which led to a goal.

Worth signing for free, we're short in midfield and we can't rely on Williamson to be fit, so someone like Coke would be ideal.

I see one of them mentions Madine as well. Depending on his pending legal case, obviously, I say it quietly, but I would actually quite like to have him here. He scores goals at this level. Without checking the stats, he wasn't a hundred miles behind Ched in that season was he?

Coke was one of Bury's better players when they played us and looked tidy, but I'm not sure he's got the ability to replace McDonald.

Nope, not having a laugh. The last time he played at this level he managed a goal every other game. Much better than I fancy any of our current strikers to achieve.

Unfortunately, we won't spend any money and we aren't a big draw any more. Damaged goods are the best we can hope for.

Difficult to say really, as I haven't seen him play either, so I won't pre judge him, or any other signings DW makes.
