1. Yes. If it's gone above Wilders head, I'd be gobsmacked.

And because of this, 2 becomes an irrelevance. Imho.

Strange one for me at 500k, would Danny Ward from Rotherham have cost us less and scored goals in a team that didn't create loads of chances, better option? Would we have got the young lad from Exeter for the same money? That said with the amount of chances we create if he finds his feet and improves his fitness could Wilder not do what he has done for the careers of Coutts and Freeman this season. Be an interesting one to see what happens

I for one think CW and AK, after this season, have the God given right to sign any player they think will make Sheffield United a better and bigger force next season, none of us can question what they have done at and for our wonderful club, Wilder is one of us, he's sees what we see, he feels what we feel, but he knows alot more than any of us, how to manage a football team, and he's proved that on more than one occasion!!!!
So, my hats off to everyone at Bramall lane, I'm sure there will be majority support for this decision also, especially for those of us that don't give a toss about stories in papers, and actually only care about what's best for our club.
Good move in my eyes, Wilder will soon whip him into shape, and the possibility of 3 20+ a season strikers at the club is absolutely mouthwatering!!

Respect to you BB for this post. When i heard the news, my gut feeling was against, but your argument is pretty convincing (except i doubt he would have got over 40 goals). You're right, gotta trust Wilder & Knill

This is the worry, if this has been even slightly imposed on Wilder for any reason then look out for the sniffing around him from other clubs in the summer.

Absolutely made up for the lad.
He's had a really bad time for two and a half years and know full well he had always wanted to come back to us.
However there were a rumour at the time Chezzy signed him that it was a deal with Mc C and Chezzy that they took him on to ease him back into the game for us to sign at a later date.
Could this have been true ????

If it's a done deal, none of this nonsense matters.
All that matters now is, we get behind the club on Sunday and blast out of this season with another record in 100points.
Wilder and Knill can work magic, and if he needs to, I'm pretty sure Jack will let him borrow his magic hat for a few games!!

Just think its silly to go for him for so many obvious reasons especially when he's not doing anything of note, I just hope this plays out well for the sake of the club!

I'm not denying that. Just pointing out counting all votes for v all those agin is not an accurate representation given the multiple option.

It is a shame as it would be good to have a yes/trust Wilder- no on footballing grounds/ no on other grounds split.

Interestingly enough , of you took out the no voters for fear of a rift being created it would read 259 for 146 against o_O
