And of course the massiiive would have been louder, there would be 95,000 in the ground, and another 250,000 in the car park..........

Sit on the kop gangway B. I thought the singing was decent but it sure does sound better watching it back on TV than it did this afternoon. I did expect a bit more of a carnival atmosphere. For me, the reason is that the whole season has just been 'too easy'. There's not really been that much nervous tension all year - we've just been miles better than anyone for months.
Thought it was proper odd at the end - it's like we've been shit for so long, no one seemed to quite know what to do!!
Anyhow, who cares, I'm sure when we're searching for a winner against Sunderland or Villa next year it'll be rocking.

The club have been right on point giving the ground back to the fans with the whole BLUT today. I swear to God most of the sad gets in their today should have gone to a fucking garden centre not a match. I was embarrassed we were live given the shit vocal support.
Hate to say this but I genuinely think in our position today the fucking pigs would have rocked the joint especially given the great football on show.
A couple sat behind me spent the whole fucking match talking about the behaviour of some cunt in an episode of some fucktard soap opera. Disappointing vocal support.
Wanker post, unless you know what a pig atmosphere is like, a garden centre atmosphere is, and tell us what soap it is that you're sadly interested to know anything about? :)

Listen to the fans getting songs going, not the ones talking about soaps, garden centres and sty atmospheres. ;)

Great post. Heard the pork making quite a lot of noise in big games. Atmosphere at a garden centre is akin to that of a morgue,(visited one of each). Not sure as to the name of the soap but the current storyline seemed to hinge on adultery, drug abuse and unemployment. Guess you could take your pick.

Sang myself hoarse and attempted to start songs rather than wait for others.

Think that covers it.

Good atmosphere today in a match that meant nothing and was over as a contest pretty early.
Most matches we play in League One are like Man U playing Hull over and over again.
Doubt there will be another ground louder than the Lane next season.

One more question, why the flying fuck are you watching the pork?

I'm not "watching" the pork. I've seen them on tv in a few of their big games over the past few seasons, most notably the wonderful play off final last season. Like it or not they made a fucking lot of noise. Saw some of the match at St James Pk this season. Noisy fuckers. Sure. The sty can be deader than a dead person a lot,but on an occaision like today, and it really, truly pains me to say this,I think they'd have given it the beans. Sometimes it isn't nice to hear what someone thinks when it isn't what you want to hear, but I honestly believe calling things as you see them is the best way. I don't post for likes,or controversy,I post what I genuinely think,as should everyone.
I genuinely think all pigs are cunts btw.

I'm not sure if this has passed you by but our game today wasn't as big as the games you mention regarding the pigs, our game today was merely a day out to enjoy, we didn't need to be raucous every minute. It was a good enough atmosphere today for a very relaxing, congratulatory day out.

Your last line is spot on though. :)

You have to understand that noise means everything no noise no points in addition to poor performances. ooh err:rolleyes:

Never been a Kop man since the early/mid 70s but they sounded pretty good to me today, good to see the H block rocking.
It's like a serious illness ours has lasted 10years but we found the cure in Chris Wilder.

Singing section !!

Everybody that wants to stand up, use a loudhailer, sing, shout, bawl, jump from one seat to another, parade flags, ticker tape, let off flares and smoke bombs (under control) should sit in this section

We can then have a "I don't mind having a sing song but draw the line at standing up and flags flares and ticker tape etc" section

Then we can have a boring tut tutting section who watch the game from inside their own soundproof Perspex cabin with a live commentary so as not to be interrupted by the shocking noise you sometimes encounter at football matches

These people can drink their Bovril in peace and think about what's on the Telly later
Whilst the game is going on and for the full week in between whilst at home they can dream up new ways to make the atmosphere more suitable for themselves by registering complaints about Perspex thickness and whether Windolene is a more viable option for cleaning bearing in mind the cost of the New Sooper Dooper Cif Glass & Shine

Fuck off to the sty then ;)

Regardless of this nonsensical post from seanbeenstattoo :) next season will be very adventurous, and trust me when I say this for the really young ones, very intimidating for away sides at Bramall Lane. I'd bet my bottom dollar on it because of my relatively short history, compared to others, of watching the Red and White Wizards.

Chris Wilder and the players will bring the best out of us when they're needed the most next season.

Lets be honest, the players and manager haven't needed driving over the line this season due to the nature of our sublime peformances.

Next season will be very different and for those that haven't witnessed the Championship days with us or for those that refuse to remember them, it's an whole new ball game at Bramall Lane. Trust me, we'll be a different beast!

So that's what a chimp can do banging away randomly on a keyboard.
Cheers.

Interesting that this season we all accept Wilder has made changes for the good but whenever anyone suggests us supporters ought to change some things for the better its no thanks, we always do it this way. We're not really on the same page as Wilder are we, to change anything is always a step too far ?.

I appreciate that you are being satirical, but don't mix up those who don't make a lot of noise (there are plenty, and it's not a criminal offence), and those who object to others singing and chanting (does anyone do that? I have never come across them.);)

I don't know how some of our bleeding hearts would get on if they supported Fenerbahce or Boca Juniors or.........well anybody else really

Atmosphere still going well with 89 minutes showing on the Sky clock.

This is in SS exactly on half way 6 rows above the tunnel!

The 5 pints of Farmers Blonde was clearly still working!

Everything is shit compared to 'The good old days'...

When every fan sang, tickets were cheaper than a bag o' chips and we all had a fight to prove how hard we are.

2017 pal - people go to a football match to be entertained. Not everyone just wants to get pissed up and shout til their voice is hoarse.

Oh well.. not as good as THE GOOD OLD DAYS!

You don't have to be pissed up to shout yourself hoarse in support of your team. Clearly a Lane Library member...

On another note. I don't think much of these new songs.

Magic hat song is tiresome and as for that Coutts, there it is. What is all that about?

HH

I think that's harsh mate. Always respect your views but I think our fans are as passionate as Leeds. We do have our fair share of moaners but vocal wise we certainly have great support both away and at home. As a comparison numbers wise, Leeds in League One averaged 24,000 in their promotion season and we won't be far off that, and definitely higher than Wednesdays 21,200 in the season they pipped us. If its solely noise you're talking about I don't think today was ever going to be a match where we were at our loudest because the game was a forgone conclusion and its also still League One at the end of the day and we all know as good as this season is, it will be next season where the home atmosphere will be better when we know that we will be underdogs in many games.

Support wise its never been better in my view at the Lane and next season we may well be the best supported team in Yorkshire and that's pretty impressive.

I can remember under Kendall in his first season in what's now the Championship we regularly got 10,000 or little more. Now we're upwards of 22,000 in Division 3.

Oh, the numbers are fantastic mate and next season will be even better. Can't wait. Not sure that we'll be underdogs that often if we keep playing this wonderful Tuftyball.

My point is we shouldn't need to be underdogs to make a noise. Let's have a shout and sing because we're actually really good rather than because we're shit but trying hard.

We just don't punch the weight of our numbers in terms of encouraging our team. I think that's a shame and would like us to do better.

We ought to at least try some fresh initiatives but I fear it's the BIC mindset and that will unfortunately take some changing.
