What to do here then? We want to stay unbeaten, we want the title and we want 100 points. But with some of the regulars possibly still....... less than 100%, and only 2 days before the Bradford game, it's probably as good a time as any to rotate the squad.

I'd probably go with this and also think Wilder will go with something very similar.

Subs: Long, Wright, Done, O'Shea, Duffy, Hanson, Sharp

Wright, Duffy, Sharp and Hanson will all probably start against Bradford and are all around 30 years old so they're probably the ideal players to rest. And with a view to staying unbeaten, only Wright's absence would affect our defensive base. Could see him starting though, with EEL at RCB and Basham for Coutts in midfield.

I'd put Done in for Lafferty at LWB, but I want us to win.

I'd like Chapman to start but Wilder's probably more likely to go with O'Shea.

I'm sure Clarke will start, and so he should.

The two attacking midfielders behind a striker is something I've wanted to see us try all season, especially with Chapman. This is a good opportunity to try it, especially if Sharp doesn't start, because Clarke's probably more suited to that role.

Bit of a lottery this one. I think he will play his strongest team at home to Bradford, but there will be changes for Port Vale. It all depends on fitness levels and how much they've had to drink over the course of the week.

I expect Fleck and Sharp will be rested. Can see Done getting a game too.

I'm surprised there's a debate about this. Who cares about resting players now, there's only 4 games to go and we want that title.

Team will be.... Moore, O'Connell, Wright, Basham, Lafferty, Freeman, Coutts, Fleck, Duffy, Sharp, Hanson

Only the only slight bone of contention is if he picks Clarke instead of Hanson

I think Fleck is the type of player who would be worse off for having rest. He seems in peak form at moment, in full flow, keep him in the team I say.

Five right wingers?

Leaves Lafferty slightly exposed.

Will there be a gentleman's agreement prevent Hanson playing Monday? Surely, if so, he has to start Friday. I'd like something like

--------------------Moore
--------Basham---EEL---JOC
Freeman-------------------------Lafferty
---------------Coutts-Fleck
--------------------Duffy
------------Sharp---------Hanson

I'd like to see Chapman and Clarke getting some minutes off the bench and maybe one of Slater or Brooks too.

I would agree with that apart from I think Carruthers will start ahead of Duffy. Sharp didn't start against Northampton so I think he will start. 50/50 between Hanson and Clarke. Edging towards Clarke so Hanson can start against Bradford.

--------------------Moore-----------------
---Basham------Wright--------JOC---
Freeman------------------------Lafferty
------------Coutts------Fleck------------
----------------Carruthers---------------
-----------Sharp--------Clarke----------

Hussey has to play the next 4 games to even get a winners medal...

CW has been very loyal to 17 or 18 players all season. After gaining promotion his aim will now be fixed on the title.

With this in mind i really can't see who would drop out to give Brooks or Slater a run out. Reed has been the outstanding player with the 23s and would/ should be in line for an appearance before them.
He is not going to play any youngsters as it is all about the group of players who got us to where we are.

Reed, Chapman, Samir, all trump Slater or Brooks.

I like the idea of Chapman starting, hopefully he will be next season so let's have 75 minutes from him

Expect some rotation similar to Saturday. We've got a tough game on the Monday and no doubt we'll want to have our best team out for the first game at the Lane since promotion.

Duffy's had a break so he should be ok, and I'd play Billy because the quicker he gets back scoring the better our finish will be.

Chapman will scare em to death on such a wide pitch, power of Clarke and Billy gets his 200th goal, need to put Port Vile to the sword and sent them spiralling down to div4 where they can have a local derby against Crewe cos I doubt if they'll ever get one against Stoke again!Michael Brown going Down!

Moore

Basham Wright O'Connell

Fleck Coutts

Sharp

Subs - Keith Edwards, Brian Deane, Tony Currie, Professor Stephen Hawking, Billy The Fish out of Viz if Fulchester United will loan him.

That should do. We don't want to take the piss, Port Vale should at least get some impression that they have a chance against the champions-elect.

Surprised to see so many people suggested CW goes with just 1 up front v Vale. It didn't work in the first half on Sat and Utd have always looked stronger with 2 up this season.

I don't mind CW making changes but I'd expect the majority of the strongest 11 to start on Friday. CAM is the area we have most options with Duffy, O'Shea, Carruthers and Chapman (as welll as Scougall who thankfully is not getting anywhere near the squad at the moment). If he's fit, I'd expect Duffy to be back but if not I wouldn't be opposed to Carruthers starting and Chapman getting a run out. I think I'm in the minority but I've not been impressed by O'Shea whenever I've seen him, especially last Saturday.

Really pleased for Clarke, finally getting game time, goals and recognition - it can't have been easy for him while he was unfit and struggling to get into the side.

Why would there be a gentlemens agreement ? we signed him permanently so he should play

Clarke simply has to start.
Problem is whether Sharp can play alongside him as I agree we should play 2 strikers.
Good dilema to have though.

It would be a bit different with Chapman up there though. He can play as a second striker but also out wide, so he'd give us good variety. He could easily stay up top with Clarke with Carruthers/Duffy playing number 10, in our usual setup.

Im surprised Chapman had been yet to feature since his return from injury, definitely though he'd be coming off the bench a couple of times, hopefully gets his chance in the next few games.
