Shipps and Stretch?
Don't cancel that memory man challenge.
Our final position flattered us, but as you can see, it was close at the bottom:

Am i the only person in the world who finds this sort of view a thing of beauty? This is where I lived for the first few years of my life.
If that's the Watford cup game, I was somewhere on those railings. The rattle of the kid on the right is not big enough, though.
Mick SpeightLooks a bit too chunky for Butlin. I assume it was a cup game? Bit of a guess, but Andy Keeley?

I posted my similar story many pages back. My grandad was an ARP warden, and fortunately my uncle had no interest in football, so me and my brother borrowed his rattle, painted it red-and-White, and made a lot of noise up and down the country. Aided by an older lad whose name I have now forgotten, who had a klaxon (if that word is right) used on the railways to warn workers on the lines of a train approaching; come to think of it, that's probably why my hearing's going.I've posted this before but my grandad was an ARP Warden during WW2 and were issued with huge rattles. There was still one in my grandparents garage when I was a kid, unfortunately it had been painted B*** and W**** as my Uncle used to take it to H**********h. It was LOUD!
