Royle Hockey Ball Woodward (?)

Not sure who the background player Evertonian is

If that's the Watford cup game, I was somewhere on those railings. The rattle of the kid on the right is not big enough, though.

I've posted this before but my grandad was an ARP Warden during WW2 and were issued with huge rattles. There was still one in my grandparents garage when I was a kid, unfortunately it had been painted B*** and W**** as my Uncle used to take it to H**********h. It was LOUD!

I posted my similar story many pages back. My grandad was an ARP warden, and fortunately my uncle had no interest in football, so me and my brother borrowed his rattle, painted it red-and-White, and made a lot of noise up and down the country. Aided by an older lad whose name I have now forgotten, who had a klaxon (if that word is right) used on the railways to warn workers on the lines of a train approaching; come to think of it, that's probably why my hearing's going.

Am i the only person in the world who finds this sort of view a thing of beauty?

I do get a little nostalgic looking at the old photos. Having to live in those conditions is an other matter. Made the most of it and had a happy childhood playing round the steelworks. Different world now and wouldn't want to go back to it.
