Was in the club shop this morning and asked about the contract with Adidas and as far as they knew, there was a 4-year deal signed which takes us to the end of 2017/2018 and nobody knew if SUFC would be continuing with the brand.

Not to be snobbery about clothes that are generally designed to get covered in mud and sweat, but any change from Adidas would feel like a step down. It's the first training gear I've had that hasn't faded or had printing/sponsors peel off in the wash and, let's face it, it looks class!

Anybody know plans for future kit sponsors/makers?

It's a good brand and I've had loads of Adidas gear. Can't see any reason why Adidas won't want to continue the relationship with us, we've attracted a decent amount of attention for a L1 club due to our form, we've been on TV in attractive cup games over the last few seasons and will probably be playing in the championship next season. I assume we sell a reasonable amount of kit too.
I suppose we could be tempted to do a deal that's a bit more financially in our favour but we seem to be quite in touch with what supporters want so it would be disappointing if we went with a low quality supplier.

We should look at the Beckham range or maybe something from the Katie Price catalogue.
There's so much out there why limit ourselves to old timers like Adidas and Nike?

I'd like the shirts to have that lion on again, other than that Im not bothered.

I'm very happy with adidas. Would love to see much more leisurewear in the shop though

Not sure we've seen the best of adidas though.

Shirt designs are decent enough, last seasons white away shirt which we wore for home games looked really smart. This year is basic, but nice.

Away shirts aren't great and shorts are crap

The one thing I don't like about the Adidas training gear in the shop, is the cheap n tacky iron on badges!!! They look naff, as if you've tried you "blade up" an everyday adidas tracky or polo shirt, for the price the club crest should be embroidered!!

Adidas kit is good quality, I think everyone acknowledges that

What gets my back up is why the supporters who are expected to buy the fkin stuff don't get to have a say in the design of the kit

The club have in the past, given supporters an opportunity to select their favourite from a short list of designs. Seems to be a non starter tho these days

The club wherever possible should engage the supporters as much as possible to ensure they remain involved and feel part of the club.

Why the suits upstairs should be the only ones to have a say when there are 1000's of supporters willing to give their input and should be invited to give their input is wrong in my book

Sorry about that but now that we will have learned to pronounce the name correctly surely we should stick with Adidas for a bit longer

I thought it was 3 years but after a bit of googling it is indeed a 4-year kit deal

In my youth it was always 'Adeedas" but I guess it is 'Addidass' which I now use.

Nike will never be frigging 'Ni-kee' though.

I was in the club shop last week and our success has apparently brought interest from Tacchini, Fila and Ellesse for a track suit deal.. Mind you the same person was also talking about Diadora doing a boot deal and Abbeydale Road's hairdresser to the stars, Mr Cisserella, had been enquiring about sponsoring perms for the lads...

Anyone in the know heard this?

yes Bladepicker its pronounced after the owner Adi Das I worked with them long time ago in Stockport and they were always banging on about the pronunciation. Incidentally Adi's brother split with him and set up Puma. Two clever lads

I have it on good authority that the Easy Barber has got the contract as Stylists to the (Blades) Stars

Really don't get why anyone would be against Adidas. We endured utter shite under Avec, Macron and Lecoqsportif.

The kit they've produced this season is the best I've seen ever. Only Umbro could ever be a decent alternative.

I want Sondico !!

No seriously. Unless its Adidas or Under Armour, I don't wanna know. Umbro were great a few years back but when Nike took over they went down hill. Having said that, if you see Everton's away shirt close-up its lovely. Like got a pink undertone to it that you can't really see on TV

Has anyone found an Adidas baseball cap with our club badge on........................no me neither.

Bin Adidas and bring in Under Armour.
