The guy who wrote in debunking the 'kick' myth in snooker should get his own Peter griifin style "you know what grinds my gears" column

Seems to have an obsession with Wednesday as most Blades have and if you don’t believe me just check out the message boards for each team and you will see I am correct.

Pig Logic: "United are so obsessed with us that I check their messageboards to see how obsessed they are"

Stupid grunting twat.

But this was more significant for me.

It was once said that it was important for a football club to be part of the community, I question whether Sheffield Wednesday are? I recently attended a dinner organised to raise funds for local charities where Kevin McCabe was the guest speaker. Sheffield United and Sheffield Steelers had donated quite a few items to be auctioned off including signed shirts, footballs and use of an executive box, with the funds going directly to the charities. I was interested to know why there was nothing to bid for from Sheffield Wednesday and was informed they had been approached but no reply was ever received . I decided to write myself to the club for a response and I too received no reply, I even prompted them again with a reminder a month later. It’s not the first time since the current owners took over that I have written to the club about an issue but for some reason they never respond.

This is nothing new either. Those bastards have never lifted a fucking finger for either their immediate community or the city itself.

A sad Piggy two hat in the Pig rag. Pretty normal fair really

The hilarious bit though is....

"Seems to have an obsession with Wednesday as most Blades have and if you don’t believe me just check out the message boards for each team and you will see I am correct".

Oh yer!

One thread, 313 Pages. 6240 replies. 223,741 views, all about their city betters. :D

If this has already been viewed then my apologies. Why on earth would they want to print this?

It is only in the last couple of years or so that I have read the paper regularly, and while it has its faults, I honestly have detected no bias against the Blades. I would suggest that, as it irritates you, you should just ignore it. Anything of interest ends up on here pretty quickly.

Edit- Harry's game beat me to it!

bucking the trend there Hodgy. I think the paper must be on it's knees as a print newspaper. It's a while since I read it as every article in which I had even basic knowledge seemed to be filled with inaccuracies, from peoples ages through to the facts of certain events. Is it biased? I never really noticed when I used to read it, so I'd guess not, just a few chippy blades looking for stuff to get angry about.

Had the same issue with Wednesday. I contacted all the local clubs asking to donate tickets for my football club Christmas raffle. Pigs were the only one not to respond. Dave McCarthy at United responded within 24 hours and sent us a pair of tickets for any home game the next day. I made it know in our club how poor Wednesday had been.

So by my reckoning with the tip and assuming the £49.96 item is some sort of food and the fact they spent half the money on fucking Jaegerbombs I reckon they averaged about 4 pints and a couple of bombs each. A lightweight pre-match away session by anyone's standards!

Headline news though, according to the Star.

I've supped more on the train to Nottingham never mind going to Hooters.

excuse me Mr Pig but arent you a wednesday fan going on and on and on about United

I wanted a Star today for an article I believe was in there. Tried 7 different places ,paper shops and petrol stations , 3 in S1 and S2 all sold out ,I thought there must be something big in it. I asked at the last 4 and they said they only send a couple of copies now. No wonder it will die soon.

Old people do buck trends. I agree with a lot of what you say, but I still like to find out about local news and issues, and don't rate Radio Sheffield, and I trust on-line sources even less than the Star... They have recently been pushing a pro-Sheffield/South Yorkshire line, which I like. If enough people get onto them, they could be a good source of anti-fracking pressure, but if left to their own devices, I suspect they will go with the energy companies.

I can sell you my second-hand copy cheap!

Nothing new, therefore nothing to cause surprise. Whatever the local media says or shows bias towards (assuming they do?) I just can't get worked up about something so unimportant. I guess for some it's a big deal.

This is how you get 'fake news'. For all their sins the local journos will at least check their facts.

Meanwhile the youth believe every bit of made up garbage they see on facebook

Shame they didn't fancy a dip in the Trent afterwards, you hear stories of pissed twats drowning all the time, why can't it be these lot for once?
