Apologies - if I have put this in the wrong place - just didn't want his passing going unmissed.

Another Blade has gone too soon and we need to stop this epidemic with Men taking their lives too soon.

The devastation this tragic death has caused is unbelievable, but if this post can help one person seek help and not take their life, then Paul's life was not in vain. Even though, Paul was struggling, his love for the Blades never diminished. He visited these pages and went to the match and loved the blades so much.

How awful, as a facilitator for AMC it truly breaks my heart. Help is out there, please if you are struggling, find it.

RIP Blade and thoughts are with his loved ones.

GLTTL. Hoping he finds the going easier in the next life!

As always in these cases, it's the 8 year old that brings a tear to my eye.

Rest in peace bladesman. Absolutely tragic loss of life. Thoughts go out to the family and friends.

Therapy has helped me massively. There are ways to get it cheaper than you might think, and it’s not like what you see in films. If you find a good one, it’s very good and I highly recommend. A lot of men have a sad opinion on therapy but you can also keep it secret that you even attend, even though that’s not necessary as everyone knows how hard life can be, and no one ever judges you when you reveal that you attend.

This is really tragic and sad news and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Same here.

On a recommendation from a family member I went to see my GP. It would never have occurred to me to go and see a GP. He referred me on to a counsellor. The counsellor was very young and inexperienced - I might literally have been her first ever patient - but it turned out she did a great job.

The budget at the time was for 10 sessions. I had my 10, and that was just about enough.

I was then referred to another counsellor - I can't recall why - but she was awful and if the first counsellor hadn't been so good this second one could have made things much worse.

Some people are very likely going to require many more than 10 sessions so this is not a suggested solution for everyone, but maybe start by going to see a GP and being open and honest about exactly how you are feeling and exactly what is on your mind.

It is also possible that your therapist might not be very good. Luckily that was not the case for me first time round.

By all accounts the situation with mental health is much more difficult now, but talking to a GP might be a good place to start.

Really sorry to hear this, and thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.

Similar age to me, similar family situation, similar issues it seems. Help is out there gents having been through the same.

If anyone wants a no pressure chat with a fellow blade, DM me. It helps to talk, believe me.
