This Is It

Those pre occupied with respecting the non existent 'football gods' and taking it 'one game at a time' are robbing themselves of the enjoyment that should be taken from a season as memorable as this one will be.

All this 'one game at a time don't get carried away' stuff is bollocks. It doesn't make a difference what we privately think or discuss as fans.

Why not enjoy it, why not be honest and admit to yourself it looks like a promotion season, and that we're the best team in the league. Then if we somehow fail, we fail, and you take it on the chin. Is it really so hard to do that? Would the possible disappointment be bad enough to justify a whole season of worrying?

And everybody should have seen more than enough in Wilder to know that if he doesn't get us up this season, he will next season.

Bolton are founder members of the football league - until recently a PL side based in Greater Manchester, where much of the UK media is now based. If they don't go up this season, this historic club could fold completely. A points deduction could wreck their chances of promotion. Think of the devastating effect on their fans.

sad demise of a club, who should have supported big sam when they were going great guns and knocking on the door of a champs league slot, instead gartside chose to let megson spend the millions and start the downward spiral. gartsides comments about making the prem league a closed shop to help keep bolton in the prem did not go down well with other clubs so few fans will have a great deal of sympathy. feel sorry for the fans who loyally follow, but we all have to play by the financial rules, they obviously dont bank with the co-op who im sure would happily write off part of there debts. history counts for nowt these days

Of course we all enjoy it when we win a game.

Despite claims that this season is different from 2012/2013 because "Wilson was a pig" or other reasons, I don't feel any different than I did when we were top of the league in Feb 2013. I felt great then and I feel great now.

It's fantastic that we have a great team and manager, but the fact is that we aren't 12 points clear. We're five clear, having played one more than Scunny and two more than Bolton. I've been a fan since 78 and have watched us fuck it up on numerous, countless occasions. People say that Wilder has the same style of Basset or Warnock, but both of those oversaw relegations and disappointing seasons.

Imagine if England were playing great football and won their group stage of the World Cup with ease. Given their emphatic victories would you then confidently predict that they would go on and win it? Or would your optimism be tempered by their performance in previous knock out stages?

I'm not knocking the team or Wilder at all, just being realistic. I think there's a better-than even chance we will be promoted, but there's also a chance that we'll lose a couple and drop to third sometime in March.

The guy who lives in the Caribbean and is life president will bail them out he has pumped 150 mill in to date and surely won't let the club go under after putting that much in

I feel very different. We now have a far more convincing team and manager who have a future with us. We look like we're here to stay, we look like we're genuinely better than the competition. I never got that feeling in 2013. And we're 10 times better to watch than we were back then.

Dead right. They should remember what Michael Schumacher said over and over again when questioned as to why he went mental celebrating on the podium every time he won a race. Bearing in mind that winning a Grand Prix did not constitute winning the championship, he always replied that you have to enjoy the moment, you never know what's around the corner. He's now in a vegetative state under 24 hour care. Stuff those of you who are staying in hiding until we are mathematical certs.
Know exactly what your saying and 4000 of us fully embraced the occasion yesterday. However did Schumacher ever stand on the podium with 2/3 of the season gone and state he was going to win the championship??!!.
I'll grant you that a fair few of us have that feeling in our bones but we are talking about Sheff Utd now. The only club that can be 3-1 up in a play off final penalty shoot out with 2 pens to go and fuck it up........
Ask me how I feel in 2 weeks time though
;)
