Jim's only problem was he didn't like to hear any criticism of the club, do that and you would no longer be his friend on facefook even if you were polite when doing it (sounds a bit like some posters on this forum ;)) Some of the abuse he took on Twatter and Facefook was way over the top and really disgraceful though so I don't blame him to much.

I agree that everyone has them. That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to believe it's unfortunate (in a way). That way being that not everybody agrees on everything. It ain't a positive, is it?

He was a professional bullshitter, paid to sugar coat shit for some of you easily fooled punters, desperate for positives and a feeling that you have a mate at the club. Good old Jim, bought me a pint, crashed my mates wedding, told me we were going places blah blah blah.

Reading some of his extremist pro USA rants since he's gone I think we're well shut of him. Strange how all of a sudden there's less bullshit coming out of the club and we appear to be picking up.

We're Sheffield United FOOTBALL Club, let's hope the powers that be are starting to realise that.

Professional bullshitter or not, he's no longer employed by the club so doesn't need to follow our fortunes, yet he does.

That I do appreciate.
 
I think Jim fell in love with United. Simple as. His initial relationship with United might have been in a professional capacity but i genuinely believe that he came to love the club and all that went with it. He might not have been born with the red n white stripes in his veins, he doesnt have any dad to son association thst many of us have, but it is still conceivable that a stranger might come along and might just fall in love with our club. Many have. I can trace my Utd supporting family back to my great great grandad and it has been father to son all thay time. I never had a choice, it was always gunna be Utd for me, history and family dictated, i was taken to the Lane before i went to school (and my lads have picked up the mantle too for the next generation of supporting Utd), but others can also learn to love our club. Jim did and i consider him a true blade.
