Yeh. You're probably right. Oddly they're the team I've seen the most but still can't find any affinity for them. Great stadium though - the bar on the platinum level runs the circumference of the arena. Possibly the best view in any sport stadium

Been to a celts / bruins games they share the same stadium , but I'm not a great fan of the hoops , give me the ice anytime .
The amenities at the stadiums in the states , can't be matched .
Unless waiting in line for a pie and pint for 20 mins is what your after .
However you pay top dollar that's what's ya get , and boy do they let people know if it's not up to scratch .and rightly so .

It's been hot for ages, but the last couple of weeks have been really humid as well. Mind you back in 2012 (I wasn't here full-time then) there were a few days that were above 40 degrees C (that was insane); it was a good year for the wineries. Last year summer was a bit crap as it was never as hot as this and pissed it down quite a few days (which caused a bit of minor flooding in my basement; thankfully now sorted), but this summer the swimming pool I had put in last year has been fantastic!

If you have an Android phone/tablet or iPad/iPhone you can cast any sort of media to your TV with either a Chromecast or Apple TV (circa £30-45), and there is an MLB app for both (I think it even shows one game free every day to non-subscribers?). TBH, the interface is probably better doing it this way too, and the (preferably) tablet screen acts as a second display device so you get stats and scores from other games, and an easy way to switch between them if something interesting happens.

Correct, although most mid week games start really late for us and even more so if it's a west coast team who's playing.

yup, that's the reason I don't/can't watch US sport anymore. Although I'm more into basketball anyway TBH.

I did try baseball for a season, not really for me I think. Although I do like Out of the Park Baseball - it's simply the best. nerdiest, statiest and deepest sport management game of any sport. It makes Football Manager look like a pad of a paper with a pair of dice (to give an example of why; you can pick any date from the past 150 years and jump into the game from that date, with the correct teams, team locations, players, coaches, player values, ticket prices, stadium capacities, blah, blah, blah. The attention to detail is incredible! It also incorporates the whole "Moneyball"/Sabermetrics thing, fascinating stuff to play with).
