Going to Redskins v Bengals at Wembley and Buccaneers v Panthers in Tampa this year. Can't wait.

Added to the Raiders getting to the play-offs and it should be a good season.

I've been to three Wembley games and I'm a Washington fan so I was really looking forward to that one. Then it sold out in about a tenth of the time that the other games did and I missed out!

Not much love for baseball on here? It's easily the best game ever to be played with a bat.

Plenty love for baseball in this corner of Sheffield. I was lucky enough to be in Toronto for work in April, and managed to get in to a sold out Blue Jays v Oakland Athletics on a Sunday afternoon before my flight back that night. Admittedly, seat not the best:-

Stadium is indoors !

I'm considering getting the MLB TV subscription for next year. Every game available live, and every game for the current season available to watch, in full, from their archives. At around half the full price of BT Sport, who have the odd bits and bobs weekly.

Baseball crowds are ace too--none of the aggressive, parochial shit you get with brain-dead football twats who always manage to wreck someone's day out in this country; great mix of kids, oldsters and all ages in between; genuine knowledge of the game; friendly, warm and welcoming. Christ, it's a complex game, tho !

You are wrong about it being the best game played with a bat, though :)

How does one get into a sold out event, exactly?

I'm considering getting the MLB TV subscription for next year.

I get the NFL Gamepass, £130 a year, the games are screened over the Internet, in HD and works fantastic.

Watch any game (unless on Sky) live, puts the Sky and BT offerings to shame

Huge amount of Programming and Archive games available all year

I use an Xbox360 to bring it in

I'm off to watch ice hockey while on holiday in Prague in a couple of weeks. Never been to see a match before and really don't know what to expect.
Hope you enjoy it HB , it's fast , can be a little boring if you don't know what's happening , the hits can be quite shocking if they connect properly , don't know about the European players and how they react but expect a few scraps , but as soon as someone hits the ice that's it , it's over .
Saw a game last year and one guy had to be carried off after a couple of minutes with concussion ,
fucking Canadian whimps .
Boston briuns v Montreal Canadiens that's a good Derby

So, if I don't use an Xbox or any other wifi-enabled plug-in kit, I should be able to get the MLB app on a smart TV ? Apologies--techno illiterate(ish) !

I got the email about this a couple of days ago and really considering it. As a Texans fan, Sky don't show very many matches.

Yep, Sky sometimes go for "the easy" games, rather than the best matchups, their viewing figures are dropping

It takes care of Sunday evenings during the Winter, and this Season they will include all the Post Season Games (Playoffs)

Previously they would be blacked out for 24hrs, cos they were on Sky, that deal has ended, so more games per buck this year

The NFL / Gamepass app works very good on Xbox360, Xbox One and Apple TV, you dont need Fibre Broadband either

NFL UK has forums where its kicks off regularly during the Games :) - some decent exchanges, tho' not on the same level as Saturday Shoutbox on here

It's good to see so many American sports fans in here, I love NFL Gamepass, well worth the money. Also considered picking up MLB tv, too but they have a free game most days which you can watch on their website.

It's big business in the States selling tickets on. Unless you're within a few minutes of reacting when tickets come on sale you have to buy from one of the numerous trading websites selling at two times to several times the face value - plus an exhorbitant service fee. It's a huge scam.

stubhub is the place to go for tickets to any sporting event in the states.

Ah, but that's the old one. The (ahem) Mighty Jays left there in 2000 for the indoor Rogers (Rodgers ?) Stadium, down by the waterfront. The old ground looks completely smart though, doesn't it ?--great pic BiB !

It only dawned on me quite late in the morning that there was a game on, and that I could fit it in before heading for the airport. I didn't have a clue what to do about a ticket. I picked a more or less salubrious-looking bar not far from the stadium, sat down next to some Jays fans, ordered a beer, and asked them whether I'd get a ticket, how much it would cost, what time it started and how long it lasted (!), etc. They told me where to go to find the "scalpers" (what a lovely, old-fashioned word for touts), and said that if I waited until the game had been on for 10 minutes I'd pick up a ticket dirt cheap. They were right :)

We had "a few beers". They were lovely people. Totally forgiving of my baseball-idiocy, and really curious about football in the UK. The bar had Leicester v Swansea on the TV. Sad to report that they hadn't heard of the Blades. Their recommendation was for a hybrid version of English football and Canadian ice-hockey, partly as a way of removing (I believe the phrase was) "the pussiness of all that falling over and grabbing their faces". We had some fun over local craft beers, discussing how that version of the game might pan out :)

The strongest local ale on the Wednesday-sized menu was, I think, 13% ABV. It was called "Le Fin du Monde". Next time ...

Er, no. The Rogers Centre (formerly known as the Skydome) opened in 1989 (the Jays played at the old Exhibition Grounds from their inception in 1977 until the Skydome opened). The Rogers Centre has an opening roof. You went when the roof was closed, the picture I put up was what it looks like when the roof is open (it's an older picture granted as they know have astroturf and a dirt infield).

When you hit the speeds i do on a push bike, its advisable to
You should try going a bit faster then Swiss - the faster you go, much less chance of you toppling over. Either that or ditch the lid and fit some stabilisers. ;)

Thanking ye kindly :)

I think cricket is the second worst game ever devised after golf personally but that's just me.
Fucking hell after football cricket and these days golf are my passions.
We'd be alright having a bevy together.
And you like hoof ball jeez:)
