What is that all about? I thought Jim Phipps had taken all the americanised Shite with him.

Noticed a couple of times that ball boys were none existent, probably because they were so excited about waving a big daft flag
Brilliant! Seen that SUFC Commercial Twitter feed has replied to about 4-5 tweets tonight (that i've seen):
No Pies on the Kop at HT
Nobody showed up to the Academy ticket kiosk to give academy players their tickets
International bar 1 out of 3 pumps working
Kop not serving beer quick enough

We fuck about with flag bearers, but we can't get the catering and match organisation sorted after 130 years

Never mind pies , match organisation, PA system (deafening int family stand) I'd settle for a shit fest behind the scenes if they got the bit on the pitch right.

But sponsorship has gone to far, I went for a dump and when I pulled on the bog role a voice said thank you for using toilet paper sponsored by the Pukka pie company

No half time beer vouchers anymore either.

Last time I checked, there was very low take up, so probably been canned due to that.

When I went down the back at half time (John Street) there looked to be very little left.

Catering franchisee decision then?

Nothing's changed then on John Street. I remember ordering a chip butty for my son, they took the money and simply gave me a tray of chips straight away. I asked where the bread cake was and the assistant calmly said they're still frozen. Why didn't you say so then you daft cow?

The flag waving bollocks when we scored was far more cringeworthy than the treatment Long got.

Can we jeer the flag wavers? The one at the Kop end of the South Stand was particularly shit. He was holding the pole far too high up and kept getting wrapped up in the flag; the useless get.
These flag wavers must be proud Blades.
I imagine they are big lads if they can control their pole with a flag waving at the end of it.

PA system (deafening int family stand)

Yes, they seemed to have fixed volume, its at a fairly robust level now

But, whenever Gary ended a word with an S, like Shirts, it went Sssssss like a fuckin laser thro my ear drums

So its still fucked, but wont be falling alseep through the announcements this Season

Well I've always argued for such flags to be on the Kop a la Liverpool. But those miserable cunts at the Lane won't accept that.....

No Pies on the Kop at HT

Did you see the stewards walk around the edge of the pitch just before full time? The lad next to the back was a feckin bionic pie munchin machine. I rest my case as to the lack of merchandise for the Kop!

Gary Sinclair fucking hell

My highlight of the day was GS's grand pre-game announcement:

"As always, it is my honour to introduce to you...the countdown to kickoff!"

I thought based on the first part of that sentence that we were going to get a particularly special announcement.

On the ball-boys/flag-bearers, a special mention to the lad on the South Stand side level with the 18 yard box, whose sense of urgency to move the ball quickly and with purpose was sadly not replicated by the team.

To be fair, the ball boy in the Kop/South Stand corner showed more energy in retrieving the ball for an attacking throw in near the end than any of our players did in actually taking the throw in.

I enjoyed the injury time sponsorship but v disappointed in the Club that they've not got some injury lawyers to do it.

The way he went after that ball was terrific. Stormed after it. A bit later on he was roaring on the team to get forward.

Was giving it loads with his flag as well whilst laughing at the Rochdale defender.

Eeza Blade & Eeza Blade!

Last few seasons we've had them, and people have taken up the offer and the queues have been shorter.

Today, no vouchers, and if you weren't there in the queue 10 minutes before half time you weren't getting a beer. The inept staff don't help, but that's how it is.

I love the voucher system. It's one of the most on-the-ball things we've ever done. I'm gutted they're canning it.

Thing is though, I think the number of people taking up the offer was far fewer than they expected :)

Will find out next time I see someone with the answer.

they started with the flags last season ..:)

we just didn't score any goals..:(

And the Sunday league felt tip/crayon match posters appearing again on the corner of John St/ Shoreham to make us look a little more tatty.
