I know! I'm not after my 5 minutes of Internet fame haha! Just passing on what I saw! From some of the stories that were on last season, I don't find it that unbelievable. Can't see why people are giving you stick.

Maybe true in my teens pal, moved on to crumpton oaks now pear flavour5 million?? Bit early to be starting on the White Lightning in't it mate?![]()
Surely those doing the bidding decide on that, not Internet bulletin board commentators? If Harry's worth more than £5M Ché is worth £5M
Yes I did see him play he managed 11 edit league goals as a teenager in a piss poor team under a fuckin clueless manager. In today's transfer market 3.5 mill is nothing especially for a young English striker with bags of potential, weather or not he fulfills that potential remains to be seen. I personally dont think he will he seems a bit lacking between the ears by all accounts, therefore I am not totally against the sale on one hand I'll be sorry to see the back of a player with so much potential and on the other if the club plays it right and gets decent money to invest in the much needed strengthening of the team, it would to me business well done.Take it you didn't see him play last season then?
No one will pay £3.5m. Even in today's market.
This is a rare case where we can't risk pricing out potential buyers. We need the money much, much more than we need him. That doesn't mean we should accept the first offer though, and we haven't.
I may be wrong but I get that impression as well. Sounds like he's possibly a bit easily led by some of the others. If I was his dad I'd be in there and trying to steer him clear of that shit and hoping to see my boy achieve his full potential. Not sure what help he's getting from his own parents - they certainly gave him an interesting name combination to deal with.I personally dont think he will he seems a bit lacking between the ears by all accounts, therefore I am not totally against the sale on one hand I'll be sorry to see the back of a player with so much potential ...

It is all about potential with Che, could go well or could go Jordan Slew. My gut feeling is if we can get a good price we should sell.
BUT... if we spent all that £1.7m on new players it would be a great bit of business, footballistically.
I thought he lost his dad about a year ago, it would explain a few things if that's what happened, could anyone confirm?
True. But if strikers in the championship are going for £10m+, which they seem to be, then if Che is successful at that level, he'll be worth the same.Surely those doing the bidding decide on that, not Internet bulletin board commentators?

But whatever opinion we hold, the only relevant fact is what other clubs have bid. We'd clearly sell for £5m, and he's still here - so nobody has offered that amount.True. £3.5m for a player that could be worth £10m in two seasons doesn't seem that outrageous.
Wednesday in a non-game week is effectively a weekend day for a footballer, almost like a Saturday you could say?
It's actually kind of hilarious watching a bunch of grown men (who almost certainly get arseholed every Saturday, mainly because they can't do it to the same extent during the working week - and I include myself in the descriptor), slag off a bunch of young lads for doing exactly the same thing!
Seriously, if this were Friday night I'd have an issue, but midweek? Who gives a fuck?
Re McCormack, I'm not saying Che is the same as McCormack. I'm saying that if a championship side are looking to buy him, they believe he has the potential to be a good championship forward, and if he fulfills that potential, he'll be worth as much as other good championship forwards like Dwight Gayle, Andre Grey, Jordan Rhodes. But whatever opinion we hold, the only relevant fact is what other clubs have bid. Even allowing for margin of error, do you think he'd still be here if we'd been offered £3m?
Overall, there's a tendency to grossly inflate the value of young players, who regularly go on to oblivion after being bigged up by eager supporters.
McCormack is a prolific championship striker, proved over numerous years. He could well unlock the door tho hundreds of millions of pounds of premiership money. It's entirely different in my opinion.

However, I realise that if only a couple of clubs are interested and neither are prepared to pay £3.5m, then we won't get it.
That's what I keep saying FFS. If he was as good as them he'd be worth the same. The three you mention - Gayle, Grey and Rhodes have all fulfilled their potential (Gayle at PL level). Che has potential, nothing more.

Yes, I find it hard to understand why some would want to keep an inconsistent player. To get promotion we need consistent playersLooking forward to the meltdown, got my popcorn and panda pops ready for an afternoon of Che Adams becoming Lionel Messi-Esque and us now been relegation favourites.
