Yep.
British Oak ?? that's my favourite pub, on a par with the Dev Cat.
The stout I ordered in there the other night was off... left most of a pint in order to run for an Uber (which I understand are like rocking horse shit in that neck of the woods).

Anyone tried the Sentinel Brewhouse on Shoreham Street on a match day (or any other day really!!)?
Strange pub the British Oak. The quality varies wildly (food and beer). One visit you can get one of the best pie/pint deals you've ever had (for the price), visit two days later and the beer tastes funny and the food is burnt. We tend not to go there as a family to eat anymore, they really seem to struggle if you order more than a couple of meals at one time.
I believe I'm right in saying it's the same group (and virtually the same pub) as The York, The Broadfield and the Old House? (pop on one and then any of the others and you'll see the same range of beers, same deals, same menus, and weirdly, the same inconsistency in standards!).
I was in the Sentinel last night. Very quiet but good beer. Should be pub of choice when there is a big away following arriving by train.Anyone tried the Sentinel Brewhouse on Shoreham Street on a match day (or any other day really!!)?
Usually being nesh all squashed in Pissbag Corner.![]()
Yes.
We went to a brainstorming about their matchday offer but will have to check with Foxy to see if this is for public consumption yet.
Quite expensive for the beer... when you think it's hardly in an ale desert in Sheffield. Make sure you ask for a loyalty card when you go in which gets you 10% off.
