We are weak as it is, without selling. McCabe will cash in for a quick quid and then bemoan bad luck when we don't go up.

I wasn't at Stockbridge and I haven't been in La Manga so apart from a few clips on Bladesplayer I haven't seen our "new look" team, but can anyone tell me how Che has been playing? Has he looked the part or is he way behind the other forward players? If so, then get rid for proper money.

His talent and ability are clear, he is strong and in good shape. The only thing missing is his ability to 'see' things, i.e., he still makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to pass or shoot - but the raw talent is obvious: not sure he would start.

Difficult to judge given 2 x 45 mins agin that level of opposition but CE didn't 'stand out' on either occasion.
He appears to have 'bulked up' (put on weight over summer ?) which hasn't positively impacted on his pace - either that or he could be arsed
PS how do you (clever bastards) manage to quote earlier posts !?!?!

Hold down the 'shift key' with one finger. Press the '$' sign with another finger and quickly tap out Annie's song with the 'Ctrl' key.

You should find everything will work fine after that.....

(I know, I know, no-one likes a smart arse).

He's bulked up even more?

If so, sell him FFS.

Yeah, he`s overdone it judging by this La Manga photo

If you want to quote more than one - the quote button, but if it's just the one then pressing "reply" is easiest.

I'd like Che to stay, think he's got a lot to offer the Blades this season and is one of our brightest prospects...still, I doubt we'll turn down offer's when they start getting to £2/3 million...the problem, as is mentioned above is who the player is replaced by...

Nice example being Woodford for Murphy :o

Hopefully Wilder can prove the difference here and sort that by improving the team overall if someone like Che is sold.

Isn't that the negotiating strategy for transfers ?

Going to Newcastle would tie in with us getting Ivan Toney on loan.

Hopefully it's true and the fee's at least £2m with a good sell on clause. Hopefully Ilkeston don't have a big sell on clause.

Adams is an easy player to replace, certainly for that sort of money.

I wouldn't complain too much about him going. Scored 12 (?) goals last season. McNulty has proven he can score that many and was used mainly as a sub under Clough.

Don't agree, Adams is the one player we have who could really make it. If Wilder gets him to knuckle down he could get 20 goals this season. I can see him moving on and being worth a fortune in 12 months time just like Andre Gray and Dwight Gayle who both went from non league to £10m players in a few years.

I'd much rather sell DCL who has a lot to prove and wasn't even a regular for Wilder in a division lower last season.

Reading the Tweets and having a look myself, i can't see a single tweet from anyone of any importance in the footballing world, mostly Newcastle Fans saying they want him.
Granted there is often no smoke without fire, so there may be some form of interest from Newcastle.

I guess we'll see tonight, highly unlikely Wilder would risk him getting injured if his sale was imminent.

if Newcastle , or anyone offers 2m we'd be mental to turn it down
plus it shows we can bring on players at this club still
despite it being as some say good for nothing

We have too many similar players in our forward pool of players, need a big bustling lump and a proven finisher
Playing Done in his proper position helps a load too

Don't think it's any secret that Newcastle have been monitoring Che for awhile now...they were interested before us when he was at Ilkeston I believe..might have something to do with his agent being the former Newcastle United striker Lee Payne...think he's still with him?

That's the gamble. It's not even a given that he'll knuckle down (and hopefully lose weight) but even if it was he's far from guaranteed to have a 15-20 goal season, especially as we should have more attacking options or at least use some of the current options more. He won't start as many games up front as last season, that would surely mean less goals and subsequently less exposure.

There's no doubt we'd be looking at £4/5m minimum if he had a big season, but I don't think it's that likely he will and when you consider we could and surely would include a sell on clause, we could make up the rest of the hypothetical £4/5m if he proves to be worth more than we sold for and moves on for big money in the future.

Ah the easily replaceable Che Adams. He'll go down in history alongside easily replaceable, inconsistent Jamie Murphy and easily replaceable, slow Harry Maguire.

Blades fans.

They never learn.

You can't compare Murphy and Maguire to Adams for me. Adams hasn't yet achieved the consistency that those two did, but I'm not saying he won't this season. I think if Adams stays, this will be the season where he really comes of age and performs and scores 15 - 20 goals.
