See, you keep saying this as though hitting 86 grounds over the last fifteen years, barely missing a match means I have been doing something else?
I support my team, but I cannot and will not support this extortion that football fans are being subjected to.
Foxy will be going to Bolton in the name of match updates. I shall be tweeting from Dronfield instead.
If anyone is wishing to protest, the Football Supporters' Federation have said they will support any action their affiliates (of which this forum is one) want to organise.
First of all Linz I am not questioning anyone's support and loyalty. I just think that if boycotts and protests are going to take place they need to be effective and make a difference - sadly I don't think that even 1000 less fans that would normally go to this fixture will do that and that there must be other ways to get the point across, like the Prem supporters have managed to do, and I don't think they boycotted games to get that result, although I stand corrected if they did. Where do fans draw the line at ticket prices? How much is too much? If this was priced at £25 would people be talking about boycotting? Away days are expensive generally due to travel etc and not always down to ticket costs.
Everyone has a choice and I'm not having a go at those sticking to their principles but I just feel that right now the team needs us to help with the rebuild and new era under CW and what an opportunity with such a large ticket allocation and the first game of the season.
