No, that's something you've made up.Aaaaand you would have allowed the same vernacular to be used against the previous manager.

My dad was a pro footballer. He played in the 60's and 70's I know it's a long time ago but he always said fans didnt know how hard being a footballer was. You couldn't win you either weren't trying hard enough or trying too hard. You had a crap game not that the full back marking you had a blinder. He broke his leg playing (ultimately finished his career) he still had to support me and my mum. He finished up with knackered hips and knees and riddled with arthritis so I always have a bit of sympathy for injured players. At the end off the day nobody goes onto the pitch and try's to get injured. On to a it of a lighter note I asked him who was the best player who he ever played with or against I thought he would say George best or Denis law. He always said it was Alan Woodward beyond any doubt the most underrated player of his era.
It's interesting that you now argue that it's nothing more that the players not being good enough. It's a point I argued all last season, and your continual line was that it was the managers fault.
We could have still made the playoffs on the penultimate game. Not so bad, surely, given that the players are so far short of what's required?

I'm just not sure why you'd care so much about the name calling. Between" us" and "them", there's only one group who's profited handsomely from the marriage. And it's the group who are rich, and won't now be giving Sheffield United FC the tiniest of thoughts, let alone worrying about words tucked away in some internet firum. That's the line that falls between those who think it's the managers job to sign the right players and get the most out of them, those who think the players can do it all themselves and then in S2 those who blame McCabe whatever bad happens.
I'm in the group who believe the consecutive managers have had the funds and the players to get the job done.
Here is the crux of the various different opinions on this thread: those who blame the players personally and collectively responsible have strong words to say about those leaving the club. Then there is such as Bladesway who chips in with a pot at McCabe, fair enough but he doesn't' f' and 'blind' about him. Bladesway and I have had that debate for years about where the blame lies.
I think Adkins failed miserably last season and am relieved to see him depart. I would never call him disgusting names though.
As one of my best posts on here has not gained much attention, I'll mention again Albrighton who really should have been kept on by Villa. If he had he would have been villified (pun) by the Villa fans along with all the other players and his stock would be rock bottom. He moved free to Leicester and is a Premier League Champion, fully fledged, one of the main men of the season. He's the same bloke in a different environment. He's not a 'wage thief' , lazy bla bla bla, like Richards, Lescott et al have been labelled, he's a good player with the right attitude.

I think it's the hate that perturbs me and I feel as though this 'us and them' attitude is not helping the club when the chips are down. We are a club and need to work together. I know such loose, vulgar words do not mean the particular posters are the first to boo the players on bad days, but the disassociation from the players, maybe because of salaries, maybe envy, whatever, creates this climate and does not help SUFC at all. Wilder will do well to unite the club which Adkins made his big theme a year ago after Clough was thought to have divided it.
Threads like this one work against the club IMO.

Reaching a play off spot in the 3rd division is a fail so a non argument either way.
Wouldn't call it reverance Tyler, but not hate.
In football there are very few winners each season. Loads of players all doing their best, some really fortunate to be in the right place at the right time and some vice-versa.
Just because a bloke happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time doesn't mean he warrants such treatment by his former supporters of his old team.
I wonder whether just a couple of years ago you all would have called Morgan, Huth, Vardy, Drinkwater, Albrighton, Simpson, King et al. lazy b*******s, lazy C***s, wage thiefs and heartless unprofessionals, shit on your shoe. - just because they were playing in a different environment? Think about it you Blades.
N.B. No name calling, just reasonable debate.

If the players aren't good enough, and the new manager accepts they aren't, then you can't be sure the manager is at fault.Reaching a play off spot in the 3rd division is a fail so a non argument either way.
tell barnsley fans that tomorrow morning
they could be a league higher tommorowQuite good for Barnsley and well done but they are hardly SUFC.
