Ex-Orient skipper, released at the end of the season (not having taken up Orient's option of a new contract).

28 year old, aggressive, a leader & a ball-playing centre-back too.

Loves English football & the "bantz" - seems a good lad

Certainly plenty of good quality centre-halves at League Two level potentially on the market right now. I'll have two, please...

Not seen him play but I've thought based on his reputation that he seems a decent shout.

If that's true, how the pissing hell have Jabo Ibhere and Billy Paynter scored 29 league goals between them this season?

I've always quite liked the look of Baudry, but my Orient supporting mate reliably informs me he's not had the best of seasons, and while he'll likely end up in League 1, he doesn't have enough to be part of a L1 promotion squad.

Lol, funnily enough I've liked Ibehre for a while now. He's had more than one decent game against us. Certainly didn't foresee him becoming a Fourth Division goal machine though!

In all honesty I don't know too much about Baudry, just read that he was available recently & read a bit more about him which I thought was interesting. Seems to be a pretty popular figure with Orient fans though, which is always a good sign.

He looks alright on paper but similarly, I can't remember seeing much of him or noticing him in games really.

Baudry just signed for Donny

Probably says where he's at then. Not gutted to be honest, even though he seemed decent on paper. Gordon Greer would do a decent job, even at 35 he's a leader and could do a decent Craig Short job for a season. Play him alongside Tafazoli or Pierre and I'd be happy for next season at centre half.

With him signing for Donny we could possibly assume Posh will be signing Tafazoli then, as Posh did show an interest in Baudry previously

Funny story.

I was on the train to Shef from London last year and there was a 2 page feature on 'Orient in Crisis' in the Standard. One of the many examples listed was when Baudry went on loan to P'boro on a Monday. On Saturday, the team sheet is put up and Baudry is on it, with the Italian manager running round all over the place asking where the centre half was - he had no idea about the loan deal (or that he'd been absent from training all week)!

Just as I was reading this, the Orient team wander on the train, all listening to music, none of them really chatting. Turns out they were playing Chesterfield. I speak to one of them (I think it was Cox, their captain), and ask if he's confident about the game. 'Not really' he said 'we'll probably get a bit of a battering'.

Needless to say, I immediately stick £20 on the Spirites, rubbing my hands together gleefully. Orient only went and won the fucking game, courtesy of an injury time winner l believe. Strange game football.
