Only hope is that Hammonds deal is massively performance weighted and won't draw much of a basic wage.

Nothing surprises me at this shambles of a club Ricky !Hammond's choice to sign permanently? You couldn't fucking make it up.
Thanks a lot Nigel.
Fuck you, Dean.
Stuart McCall has a lot to answer forEither that or he knows how unpopular is, and that he's thinking fan pressure will get him paid off. Incredible that the board signed off on this without seeing it coming.
Because he has just confirmed by doing this that he's a money grabbing greedy on his way down mercenary who doesn't give a fuck about us....... And after the shite we watched from him he would be lucky to sign for anyone for more than ten bob a week. ..... Did we really let Adkins have a free reign on this? Why sign on somewhere you are so universally, dare I say unanimously disliked??
I don't imagine that the board get involved in individual contract details.Either that or he knows how unpopular is, and that he's thinking fan pressure will get him paid off. Incredible that the board signed off on this without seeing it coming.
More than that TB.
My source says £15,000 per week. Not sure if its 52 weeks though rather than 104.

Who activated Wallace's option too? Did we write something where he had that option rather than us? If so whoever wrote that for a known injury risk wants kicking in the nuts. (or fanny)Must have had a clause in his contract to activate a perm deal
What a tosser
His PL salary at Leicester was over £30,000 pw.That would have been the season just gone. I understand Brayford will remain the highest paid player at the club. I would suggest that Hammond's wages for next season would be a reasonable high basic( for L1) with a high emphasis on appearances and win bonuses if in squad. Wilder has negated that by in effect saying he isn't going to play for us. It would surprise me if the owners didn't pay him off if he doesn't go on loan somewhere after 3 months.
It shows what a mercenary he is by signing a contract where the fans, and manager,do not want him
I thought he was on a 2 year deal with an option of a third? If so, it was his option rather than ours. This is no surprise. He wasn't out of contract this year
The sad thing for us is that it isn't, it just typifies usIncredible that the board signed off on this.
and probably explains why we announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive three days agoMore than that TB.

What I am now quite sure of is that this cost Adkins his job.
Shambolic.

If Chris Wilder never did anything else at this club, he'll have done us proud just by that one vast statement he's just made there.
should be noted that Dean Hammond has decided to activate his option of a permanent Blades contract and George Long has been offered new terms.
Alex Baptiste, David Edgar and Conor Sammon have left the club following their loan deals.
These players have been released:
Mark Howard, Bob Harris, Callum McFadzean, Terry Kennedy, Harrison McGahey, Jay McEveley, Florent Cuvelier, Ryan Flynn, Jose Baxter and Jamal Campbell-Ryce.
Additionally, the following players have been notified that they have been transfer listed:
Kieron Freeman, Kieran Wallace, James Wallace, Dean Hammond, Paul Coutts, Martyn Woolford and Diego De Girolamo.
^^^Look at it this way............at least we will receive a transfer fee if Hammond should move to another club?

2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps......Look at it this way............at least we will receive a transfer fee if Hammond should move to another club?

Bladespersons - It is our duty to make Dean Hammonds remaining time here as miserable as possible.
Nobody is going to pay Hammond the same or more than what he's on now.Look at it this way............at least we will receive a transfer fee if Hammond should move to another club?

You'll soon change your tune if he signs nobody.
'12 of you will do, lads. We're going fucking old school'![]()
