I believe Steve Ludlam went on into the pub trade, he was either manager or landlord at the White Rose at upper Darnall in the 00s.

Yes, that's the problem that I can't solve.
Just how do you mix oil and water.
I have never heard Adams talk about the beautiful game. O'Driscoll or similar would have been the conduit, that's for sure.

Thanks for making your point, i could not agree more. Hoof -football is out of date -period. Players that plays this kind of football does not belong to our beloved game. Take our best youngsters in and make Pembo our coach . Keep the best loan players together with the clubs best youngsters and we will see a complete different game. Adams: take your league 3 players and your hoof fotball to division 3. F**k off....

7PM Kick off on Wednesday. SUFC are running coaches from Bramall Lane, £10 each, departing 3pm.

Can be booked via the box office in person/0871 995 1889.

Thanks Foxy!

One positive from this season at least, good luck to the youngsters!

Will you be there again Foxy? Enjoyed your twitter updates last game

Upper Darnall??? White Rose is in Handsworth albeit just on the South of the boundary (The railway bridge on Handsworth Road).

What will happen to the Academy if/when we are relegated? Half the useless bastards will be at other clubs and won't give a flying fuck. Cuts will be inevitable and knowing our board's ability to make the wrong decisions I can see those cuts being made to the one area of hope and success in these bleak times. I think the academy should be ring-fenced from any cost saving measures for the future well being of the club.

I think that the club, who see the Academy as the one star on the horizon will hold their nerve on the Academy...they must.

I'll be updating our Twitter from here at Villa Park tonight. Will lay off the photos though the weather isn't really aiding mobile phone pics.

Keep an eye on http://twitter.com/s24su

1-0 up. Joe Ironside.

Come on you Red and White Wizards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the report Foxy. Well done Blades Babes. Presumably Slew will be suspended for the second leg? A pity as he sounds like a key player. I'm hoping the highlights might appear on here at some point:-

http://www.thefa.com/videocentre

While browsing that site, I noticed this match report and team from the Quarter Finals in 2007:-

http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/FACompetitions/TheFAYouthCup/NewsAndFeatures/2009/FAYCLiverpoolBlades

Sheffield United: Hernandez, Walker (Boden), Chapman, Mellis, Wedgbury, Lowton (Okoko 82), Askham, Quinn, Abdi (Eagers 68), Naughton, Tahar

Some interesting names in that line up (Walker, Mellis, Lowton and Naughton) and the current side appears to be even better!

Some little rays of sunshine ...lighting up a dull and dreary last few weeks for our club. Absolutely well done and well deserved lads. Here's to the second leg:beer:

Well done lads! A team to be proud of at last.

Also very well done to Foxy for her report.

Keep up the great work

Well for some reason I logged on tonight thinking the second leg of the semi was today. On the bright side, it means we're definitely still winning...

True Blades Will Be At The Lane.....
