(4-4-2)

Turner
Flynn Basham McCevely Harris
JCR Reed Doyle K.Wallace
Murphy Adams

Subs:- Willis, McGahey, Kennedy, Dimaio, Cuvelier, Khan, McNulty

Personally I would have McNulty starting for Murphy. He needs to get his season back on track. Other than that, agree with your selection.

Wallace should be ok to play i think, wasn't he on a non contractual basis with Ilkeston, I assume if you play in fa cup you have to have a full contract with the team?

A lowish crowd and 'weaker' team, maybe chance to give Higdon a full game to get his confidence back without the pressure of a full house watching his every touch? If he puts a couple away that might get his season going. (I thought he looked up for it when he scored last time).

K Wallace & Adams are cup tied. Basham probably will be rested as he got injured last Tuesday

Goalkeeper: Howard
Right Back: Alcock/Flynn
Centre Backs: Basham & McEveley
Left Back: Harris
Right Midfielder: JCR
Centre Midfielders: Reed, Doyle & Scougall
Left Midfielder: Murphy
Striker: Mcnulty/Higdon

We've got a week until our next game. Get the first XI out playing some attacking football and try and restore some confidence and get them smiling

Having established that we couldn't score in a brothel playing 4-6-0 (unless away to a bigger club in a Cup competition), I suggest we switch to 4-0-6:

Howard
Flynn Basham McEveley Harris
NO ONE
Campbell-Ryce DeGirolamo Porter Higdon McNulty Murphy

Tactics: Basher and Big Mac hoof the ball upfield and our six-pack of strikers fall on it like a flock of starving vultures.
If they can avoid tripping over each other, they all manage to hit the woodwork, see the ball scrambled off the line, etc.
For variation, Flynny and Whispering Bob start making overlapping decoy runs, then have to scramble to get back in position as Plymouth score with their one attack of the game.

Result: Blades 0 Plymouth 1

Reed, Howard Adams, (if he is eligible) are musts

The rest can stand in the car park

Adams is deffo cup tied

Hope he 'gambles' with 4-4-2

Howard
Alcock(IF FIT) McGahey McEverley,Harris
Flynn,Reed(or Wallace if fit),Basham,Murphy
Higdon McNulty

However,if Ben Davies is fit I would start him instead of Flynn

..........JCR.............MCNULTY...........MURPHY...

Just go at them and give them a reyt pasting ffs, stop fucking about Clough!

As always I would NOT start from here.
But looking to get to 4-4-2
(unlike Clough who will stick it to the fans asking for it by going 4-6-0 with Baxter!)
(and has said last week Basham will be centre back!)

Question mark is who could play in a two with Basham when Wallace is injured as always?
I'd try Flynn with one of the younger players (Reed or Khan) as the only alternative with no Davies either.

Howard
Allcock
McGahey
McEverley
Harris
Ryce
Flynn
Basham
Murphy
Higdon
McNulty

Turner
Kennedy if fit/Collins (Nobody else)
Wallace 2/Damaio
Khan
McGinn
Reed
Porter

who've I forgot this week?

Baxter and Doyle bombed out by me as always – but stuck with Collins :blue:

Well it was Scougall again :)
Don't think he could play in a two but apparently working well and was prominent in the 'highlights' the other night.

McEveley. Just to prove an earlier point ,I think he should be dropped because his name is so difficult to spell. 4 different spellings on this thread alone ,get a proper name .

Colquhoun !
