A random conversation in the car yesterday with the randoms in the back (DazBlade88, keenzy and The One) got us talking about Blades from about a decade ago... and which players we loved to watch.

The majority of these were strikers, so who has been your favourite striker for the Blades?

Fjortoft, could have been a Lane legend but was sold too soon and too cheap

Aaah Jan-Aage. Happy memories of a weekend in Worthing before the Crystal Palace Play off final where we spent three days running around, arms outstretched like aeroplanes mimicking his goal celebrations on the beach playing football, along the pier to the nightclub, in the curry house, everywhere. The locals must have thought we were demented.

So many to choose from,

Dean Saunders was always a legend for me for that goal against Port Vale.

I named so many in the car that I loved!

Fjortoft, Deane, Katchuro, Marcelo, D'Jaffo, etc. Those were the days! Really difficult to pick just one, think I'll have to say D'Jaffo for scoring the goal that beat Wednesday at Hillsbrough for the first time I'd seen us win there :D

Always a big fan of Brian Deane and Tony Agana. Also Peschi; the man was a legend - and he's held in similarly high regard by Derby fans.

Would have to be between Deane and Agana for me but would find it difficult to pick one.

Thanks fellas for making the best period of my life that much better.

(Getting all misty-eyed now about 89-90 season).

It took 12 post to mention Deane. Shame on you.

Deano. i cried when he left the lane :(

Got to be Brian Deane. Agana was good for a season & abit.

I reckon Kathchuro had quite a cult following though :D

When i was younger i used to watch old videos from Deane and Agana days, to me they seemed like gods, compared to the dross of strikers we have had over the last 10 years.

Marcelo was a favourite of mine, i also liked Suffo and Asaba, but Wayne Allison was almighty

Deane > Agana > Allison

Brian Deane or Keith Edwards. I think Edwards just shades it, after all as the saying used to go "Jesus Saves! But Keith Edwards gets the rebound."

Still makes me smile, thinking about that goal! I'd have to say Deane, but so many others were favourites for different reasons, so .....

For valour: Tony Agana
For cheekiness: Dean Saunders
For skill: Keith Edwards (& for being the 1st player to score while I was there)
For strength: Nathan Blake
For poaching: Paul Peschisolido
For comedy value: Jostein Flo
For being Brian Deane: Brian Deane

and umpteen others too.

Would that be the throw in against the goalkeeper by any chance?

Favourite strikers....

Deane & Agana
Deane & Fjortoft
Peschisolido
Flo
Petr Katchouro

Too many to pick from!

Has to be Deano all the way. He was my first football hero!

Remember getting star struck at seeing him doing his shopping at Sainsburys Crystal Peaks!

Anybody seen the clip of Pele dummying the keeper and hitting the post?

Sir Keith did that and scored !

Do you remember who that was against SV? I was only a chab !!!
